My wife and I have two teenage children. We had a wonderful stay. The property was well appointed, in line with VRBO advertising and had all of the things we look for in a vacation home... washer/dryer, towels (beach and bath), television (though we didn't spend a whole lot of time with that, small, but easy to use kitchen (perfect for a week-long stay) and everything was clean and well maintained. Previous guests were good enough not to waste condiments and spices so we didn't have to buy those. The pool was great and the beach was perfect even with 65 footers rolling on the north shore.
The only thing I can say that could be improved upon was toilet paper... yes, toilet paper. For all that was provided, we nearly ran out of it and would have had to buy more if we stayed one more day. A down side about Kauai (for the unitiated as we were there for the first time) is the cost. Compared to Oahu, I would guage it at ~20-40% higher in price (restaurants, groceries, fuel and attractions). Something to keep in mind if you wish to be on a budget. Recommend you not look at what you spend until well after your return.
Aside from that little nit, I would highly recommend it for others. We were not disappointed.
