We have stayed in several units at Kahana Reef over the years and this one was the most disappointing. The place looks tired and needs a serious refresh - all the doors stick, and the large sliding door to the deck does not slide well and is very heavy. Also, the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen were not very clean. We called the management company the day after we arrived to ask for a broom (so we could clean up the floors a bit without bringing out the vacuum) a dish cloth (so we could wipe the counter tops with something other than the sponge provided) and to fix the toilet that was running. They gave us two extra dish towels and that was it. The toilet ran the whole time we were here, so rather than listen to the waves at night, we listened to the toilet run. don’t even want to think about how much water was wasted during our stay. The walls are a bit banged up and need a paint job. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable as is the couch. Its a decent unit, but needs some serious LTC, dish rags, a broom and a very thorough cleaning. And fix the toilet!
