We love this house. The location is a true oceanfront paradise. The house is fully equipped and roomy. The pool is nice and very cleaned. The host is very quick to respond.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The house was fully stocked with anything you could possibly need, even beach chairs/coolers. We felt very safe in this location and area. We had many epic experiences while we stayed here thanks to the wonderful house keepers. She brought us down the beach to the sea turtle nursery and we got to release baby sea turtles into the ocean. This was a once in a lifetime experience and it was unplanned. They also made sure to have us fresh coconuts to drink out of when we wanted. Absolutely loved having the beach to ourselves and you must make a stop at The Bamboo Cafe down the road, you won't be disappointed. If you plan on going to this area in Costa Rica I would make sure to stay here.

Had the best family vacation. House was even better than pictures. Clean, well equipped and private. The pool and grounds were kept beautifully. Enjoyed hearing and seeing all the wildlife around house. Short drive to food stores in Parrita. Recommend guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park, Il Iguana chocolate Farm tour (need 4x4) and relaxing. Thank you Josee for sharing and to staff that maintain. Mariette was so pleasant, helpful and easy to contact.

Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour. Excellent accueil. Accès au Wi-fi sans aucun problème. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle. Excellent villa ! We enjoyed the house and the grounds. The beach was awesome and beautiful. You have the beach to yourself. The house keeper and the groundsman did a great job taking care of the house , pool, and the grounds. Be prepared for possible electrical outages during the rainy season . We will go back .

Wonderful vacation home on the beach!

My family, including our 3 kids ages 6,8,9, stayed at this beautiful home for 4 nights in July. The house and surrounding property were exceptionally well kept and clean. The house is as described. Kitchen was fully stocked. We typically cooked breakfast and dinner there and had everything we needed. Grocery stores are within 10 to 15 minutes depending on which one you choose to go to. Marrietta, the property manager, met us when we checked in and showed us around the house. She was very helpful, accessible, and made good suggestions on a close restaurant and things to do nearby. We spent one morning, as suggested by Marrietta, enjoying a hike at Rainmaker park which included waterfalls, rope bridges, and swimming holes. The kids loved it! I think what we enjoyed the most was the seclusion of the property and proximity to a beautiful beach on the ocean. 1 minute walk through a palm tree lined oasis and you're on a dark sand beach which we had to ourselves the entire stay. Waters were rough, but our kids were able to play in the waves close to shore. Highly recommended place for a very relaxing beach stay in beautiful Costa Rica. We hope to return to this house in the future.

Perfect for our family.

This house is located about halfway between Jaco and Manuel Antonio, we spent time in each town and several days just hanging out the house in the pool or at the beach. The house is perfectly equipped to provide everything we needed, including a great host to help out if needed. Our boys had a great time in those incredible waves. Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing Paradise

We stayed for a week at this wonderful property. The beds were soft and comfortable, the whole house was clean and fresh. Everything we needed was available at the house, it was amazing. The pool was so refreshing after a days long hike or tour. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back and stay again. Nicely located between Jaco and Quepos with so much to do and see around.

Slice of paradise

From the very beginning with the booking to the departure, everything was perfect. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful and relaxing the property is. The house manager mariette kept our family up to date on some fun experienes and delicious restaurants. Highly recommend!

Paradise

We had an amazing time in Costa Rica! Marriette was a phenomenal host as well as the house and grounds keeper. From fresh coconuts to our friendly stray dog I wanted to bring back with us, the sound of the ocean and amazing time on the property swimming in the pool we couldn’t have asked for a better week we had. First visit to Costa Rica

Playa Bandera, on the Beach, was the perfect location for celebrating our 40th anniversary. The home is clean and very well appointed, we wanted for nothing. The property is beautiful and secluded, perfect for relaxing and cooling off in the pool. The almost completely empty beach was great for our early morning and late afternoon walks. The proximity to Jaco, Quepos and surrounding areas is perfect with a rental car. Overall 10 out of 10 experience!!

Perfect Tranquility

This was such a relaxing trip. The property was just perfect and we had the beach all to ourselves! The caretaker, Nela, is a wonderful chef. She made an excellent dinner for us one night. Also, the manager, Mariette is super helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

TRANQUIL and RELAXING

Tranquil with a capital T! Our family spent a week here and it was perfect. Kids (age 7 and 8) LOVED the pool and beach steps away. Super soft sand but strong rip currents so they didn’t swim. Lots of pool toys for them to use. Hubby and I loved waking up to the crashing waves of the ocean. Property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Staff are all incredible. Andres brought us fresh coconuts one morning and cut them open so we could enjoy fresh coconut water. Mariette was next level helpful! The check in was smooth and she answered all our questions. When our son got an ear infection she accompanied us to the local medical clinic and ensured he was taken care of. Villa had everything we needed and the nearby town of Parrita was great for groceries. Not a lot of sightseeing or activities close by but we were in Costa Rica for a while so we were ok with just chilling that week. Air condition in each bedroom and main area was lovely on hot days. Lots of geckos and iguanas around the property. Saw Scarlett in macaws flying by often and stopping in nearby trees. Amazing stay.

Perfection in Paradise

We had the best week at Playa Bander. The location of this house is absolutely perfect. With the ocean just a few steps away, you can hear the calming sound of the waves throughout the day. The house is extremely well stocked with extra linens and everything you need to cook meals at the house. Eating outside under the patio pavilion was perfect, especially when lit up at night. The pool was a perfect temperature for relaxing. When we weren't in the ocean, we were in the pool! Parrita is a short drive away where you can stock up on groceries and fresh fruit. It's not a tourist town, but the people were friendly and patient with our modest command of the language. Marietta was a great host, and helped us get in and settled. Can't wait to come back - hopefully for a little longer next time! Paul Nelson

Secluded Beach

Our family had a great time at this property. It was like having your own beach to yourself as usually you could look either direction and not see anyone. Our family enjoyed playing in the pool daily to an audience of iguanas. We also saw scarlet macaws and monkeys in the area. The grounds to the property were very well kept and communication from the host and next door neighbor (manager) were helpful. We created many new memories at this home and would stay there again!

Exceeded our expectations

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is much more spectacular in person. We loved lazy days at the pool and enjoyed the peace and solitude of the beach. The home was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The owner had thought of everything that you may need during your stay. The wildlife was such treat, we saw monkeys/lizards/Scarlett Mac laws and I even got to release baby turtles into the sea at sunset. Finally the staff were so efficient and friendly. The property is managed by Marrietta who was so lovely and knowledgeable. We would stay again, I was sad to leave.

A Week in Paradise

My cousin and I, both 65, really enjoyed our stay at Casa Maria. It looks just like the pictures. The grounds are beautiful and the villa is adorable. The swimming pool is salt water and is very relaxing. The patio area was a place to sit and relax in the evening, but you would need mosquito repellent. The breeze and sound of the ocean waves were so peaceful and made for a good night’s rest. The bedrooms were very nice with their own mini-split (AC), ceiling fan, and a floor fan. It would get very cool in the bedrooms and we would end up turning the AC off before morning. The beds are comfortable. Everything you need is at the villa. We bought a few groceries. The small town, Parrita, was only ten minutes away and has a grocery store with what we needed, Maxi Pali. We visited Jaco a few times and it was about an hour or less drive. It had plenty of shops, places to get adventure tickets, and many restaurants. Its beach was filled with lots of surfers. We also went to Quespos which was about a half hour drive. It’s a very pretty town and a beautiful parkway to view the beach. It also has a huge marina for fishing and boating tours. Manuel Antonio National Park is just up the mountain and a must see. The guides are great and would highly recommend getting one. You will see sloths, monkeys, iguanas of course, and beautiful vegetation. If you can get Eduardo as a guide, you will have the best. He has been doing this for twenty years and he knew when to start your video to watch the monkeys jump from palm to palm. Go in the morning to catch the animals. And the beach is absolutely amazing. The water is so beautiful. Make sure to pack your bathing suit to enjoy the beach after the tour. Each day or evening when we returned to the villa, we could wind down by opening the doors and just listen to the ocean. It was the perfect ending each evening. Would definitely recommend a stay at the beautiful “yellow house.” ❤️

Paradise

We enjoyed a lovely week at Casa Amarilla with our two kids (7 and 11). The setting right on the beach was unbeatable. The road to get there was pretty rough though. Significant rain made for a difficult last mile. The grounds of the house are gorgeous and very well maintained. We made great use of the pool too. The ability walk right out the door and into the ocean was perfect for our kiddos and made for a very relaxing stay. Mariette was very helpful and we appreciated her guidance. We would definitely recommend this home to others looking for a relaxing and low key getaway to Costa Rica.

Playa Bandera, Casa Maria

This lovely beach home is even prettier than the photos show on VRBO. The gardens and pool are well groomed, and the interior is spotless. Costa Rican woods adorn the furnishings and ceilings. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds are very comfortable; nice linens. Would not change a thing about the house or grounds. Our host, Mariette, was very helpful and kind. She arranged for a cook to bring in the most wonderful local seafood dishes, and she responded within minutes to any questions that we had during our stay. The unimproved road from the main highway to the house, roughly 3 miles, is the only negative. Casa Maria is a real treat for those who enjoy privacy, the sound of the surf and the natural flora and fauna of this beautiful coastline. Pura vida!

Amazing

Amazing is the only way to describe this property. Everything we could have wanted and more! The house is well stocked with all the necessary essentials. Tons of toys (beach and pool), beach chairs, umbrellas, towels. Everything was perfect. We explored many of the local restaurants, be prepared that some are not English speaking but we did not find it difficult to order. We loved the location of the house and can't wait to come back! Literally made us consider buying a home in the area! Mariette is amazing as well. Always there when we had questions or needed something. Plus we fell in love with Luna and Roni and enjoyed their visits daily.

Wonderful stay at an amazing property!

Communication with the owner before our arrival was excellent. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were impressed with this home. Outside, the landscaping, pool and comfortable seating with the sound of the ocean in the background was a wonderful welcome. Inside, the home is beautiful and the living areas are very spacious with lovely furniture and decor. The master bedroom and bathroom are large and the bed is very comfortable, as is the second bedroom. Mariette, the property manager, greeted us upon arrival, was a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and indispensable in setting up anything we might need or want during our stay such as a private surf lesson for our grandson and renting a board during our stay. Not only did Mariette set up these types of extras but she also provided much needed assistance with our attempts to communicate with locals and, sorry to say, our non-existent Spanish. The beach was absolutely beautiful. In our time there we never saw another person on the beach as far as the eye could see except for one or two walkers. We loved just relaxing in our lounge chairs as we gazed out into the pacific and listened to the waves roll in. Other times it was nice to just play in the pool or relax in hammock or comfy chairs reading while enjoying the beautiful plantings, trees and wildlife. The location is perfect to explore Jaco to Manuel Antonio and the surrounding areas. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, private beachfront home to enjoy their Costa Rican vacation in.
