Great vacation home

Great place to stay during a Bonaire vacation, the location is ideal, close to the center but not too close, short drive to the best snorkeling/diving sites. Property managers are friendly and helpful. Beautiful garden!

Wonderful house

The house is lovingly furnished, offers enough space and we had a lovely holiday here. We really enjoyed our stay and the neighbor's cat also contributed to our well-being.

Wonderful, perfectly equipped vacation home

We had a wonderful time here. Joy and Rene welcomed us at the airport. The house is lovely and perfectly equipped and has a beautifully landscaped terrace with a new jacuzzi, barbecue, a small room for (diving) equipment etc. and of course WLAN. The location and neighborhood is nice and you can easily walk to the sea or into town.The support with regard to car rental was also great - including beach towels, chairs etc. And if we had any questions or tips for the surrounding area, events or restaurants, we got great tips.We would love to come back!

Too many dogs!!

The house is neat and clean, with nice kitchen, privacy fencing, covered patio area and great beds. The neighborhood has lots of dogs who bark a lot.

Spacious, comfortable and great location

Airy, clean, very comfortable cottage in quiet residential neighborhood a couple blocks walk from the water, and an easy stroll to the tourist area. Very pretty shaded back garden with plenty of comfortable seating and a soaking tub. Very helpful property hostess who was available and friendly but not intrusive. Petrol station close by (a plus on an island with 3 petrol stations...). Ideal for people looking for quiet and restful, but easy access to everything. Great price!

Great holiday with large terrace and excellent facilities!

Located in a quiet area close to dive friends Bonaire. It is a 12 min walk along the sea to city center (we did that walk every night). 15 min from Eden Beach and Coco Beach (where you can rent a shaded chair by the sea for 5$). The house was everything we expected. Bed was comfortable with quality mosquitos net and Air/C. The highlight was certainly the back patio where we could sip our drinks after a day of diving. I recommend the 9 min walk to Bobbejan's rib place (2 Kaya Albert Engelhardt) open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 6-10pm, (sunday 12-2 pm also). The best place to hang is at the little Havana café on Friday nights. They have some reasonably priced Cuban cigars (or you can bring your own too and have a drink). The Palu di Mangel Beach (not far from the airport but frankly with few planes a day not bothering at all....) is a good place to snorkel but there aren't many shaded places available. However the Kite City food truck there is as good as any upscale restaurant in Kralendjik (try the tune sashimi if they have it). We tried "It rains fishes" (24 Kaya Jan N E Craane; this is on the main street by the sea and they have a website), good food quality at tourist prices. If you go, I recommend the catch of the day. However, wines on the list are way too expensive for what they worth. Ingridiënts restaurant (85 Kaya Gob. N. Debrot just beside buddy dive resort; they have a website too) had a better wine list at more reasonable prices (we had a white Cortese from Piedmont for 35$), the view on the sea and pier is nice and you can see some divers doing night diving. My Marlin steak was cook (or should I say uncooked) to perfection! It was a bit pricey too but nothing unbearable. The grocery store Van Den Tweel have a small selection of wines. A lot of crap but the best are the ones by Nederburg, Vondeling and Casa Lapostolle (ranging from $8 to 16$). The Washington Slagbaai National Park worth it for us (we had a little truck to go), did diving there (slightly wilder than dive places outside the park). It is probably the best place to photograph Pink Flamingos, lizards and cactus (N.B. you need to buy the permit to enter the park). We did not need the intervention of the owner for anything but he welcomed us and seemed available for any concern or information we could have had/needed. I would certainly go back to this house. P.S. The person who welcomed us also speaks French.

okay stay

We stayed in this property from Sept. 08th to 22nd. When we arrived we got picked up by a taxi from the airport and got the keys handed. That was it - no local contact information at all, no welcome folder, nothing. When we arrived the was no gas for cooking, no toilet paper and almost no water pressure (flushing the toilet meant no more water anywhere). The gas got replaced the next day (I guess the pool guy arranged that, the toilet paper we bought ourselves and the water issue was part of our entire vacation). The overall property is okay, not great. At lot of switches, plugs and issues here and there which we mastered to figure out by our own (try and error). If you're used to resort vacations I suggest to book something else. If you're a bit in MacGyver mode then you can think about giving it a shoot. One other thing is that we had water inside the kitchen dripping from the wall... a guy came by the next day but had no clue where it was coming from. Some days later I realized that it came from somewhere inside but the only thing I was able to do was sending a message via this website to the renter (as I did many time)... not a single reply came back. The lack of communication is really an issue. The house is placed in a local neighborhood which is okay. In front of the house (other side of the street) stands a 30 feet container as it is used on ships as the locals are storing stuff in these... looks really bad but the front of the house you only see while entering and leaving. The neighbors are locals so be prepared for some nice talks, kids fixing their bikes in front of the house, donkeys on the street messing around with the trashcan and music here and there when you don't expect it (once again: it is not a resort vacation). Overall the stay was okay but not great. I’m used to many places in the world and Bonaire is an island with different pace. Still, the lack of communication with the local agency or the dutch renter is a “no-go” which should really be addressed quickly. For divers from the Netherland I can suggest the Gooodive which is just around the corner and for divers from Germany I suggest the Tropical Divers right across the street of the Plaza resort (close to the airport) Other than that: Bonaire is great and island itself compensated the property downsides.

Huisje voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Goed bed en airco. Wel warm binnen met beperkte mogelijkheden om warmte kwijt te raken. Deep mee voor de muggen buiten.Best veel honden in de buurt en bij de buren die regelmatig blaffen. Ook 's nachts.Jacuzzi is niet de juiste benaming voor een bad.

Houd je van de boulevard/playa? Vind je het leuk om op loopafstand naar de prachtige zee te gaan? En wellicht wel vanuit het natuurlijke zeezwembad te zwemmen? Dan is dit een perfecte locatie. Met bovendien shopgelegenheid in t knusse gezellige Kralendijk.Het huis is compleet, gezellig in beach vibe ingericht.Prettige communicatie met gastvrouw Joy. Zowel via app als ontvangst&vertrek. Via haar kun je ook een pick-up huren. Ideaal.

Lekker huis in rustige buurt

Fijn huis in een rustige buurt. Prima kamers met airco’s en goede bedden. Lekkere buitenruimte. Open keuken voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Loopafstand naar restaurants van Kralendijk en de zee (geen strand, zwemmen lastig). Contact met de lokale vertegenwoordiger soepel en fijn. Onder voorzieningen staat nog een bubbelbad beschreven. Deze is nu gevuld met aarde en wordt gebruikt als grote bloempot. Een bubbelbad is dus niet meer aanwezig en advertentie moet geupdatet worden.

Perfect verblijf!

We wilden op loopafstand van het centrum van Kralendijk en niet in een toeristisch oord/hotel/omgeving logeren. Daarnaast ook nog een mogelijkheid om evt. zelf te koken. Dit huis is dan perfect! Geen omgevingslawaai van honden/auto’s/etc. Inrichting was zeer compleet, met een heerlijke porch, een ruime woonkamer, 2 slaapkamers met airco EN muskieten netten, en een keuken waarin echt alles voorradig was (we hebben thuis niet zoveel materiaal als hier in deze Kas Azul)! Daarbij was de ontvangst door Monique erg goed geregeld. Ook tijdens het verblijf konden we voortdurend op haar rekenen met snelle en correcte reacties op onze vragen. Gewoon super!! We zijn vaker op Bonaire geweest en een volgende keer proberen we 100% zeker, deze plek weer te reserveren! Een dikke 10 dus!

Outstanding home and location, dogs and roosters

Fantastic home, location, manager, facilities, and all could hope for. Margarite (sp?) was wonderful. Well stocked with necessities. Appliances new. Beware that neighborhood is NOT quiet. Neighbor’s dogs barked constantly and roosters crowed all day. Bring a white-noise sound machine for sleeping and will be good. Overall, very nice place and I hope will be available my next visit!

Prima stek, prima begeleiding

Wij waren voor de tweede keer in Cas Missisippi. De kwaliteit en ligging bevallen ons prima. Vlakbij de zee (200 meter), niet tussen hordes toeristen en op loopafstand van het centrum. Je hebt een goed uitgeruste keuken zodat je niet loopt te prutsen bij het koken. Met een groot aanrecht waardoor iedereen mee kan helpen bij het snijden, koken, bakken, braden en opdienen. Met een oven/magnetron die met zijn vele functies doet wat een goede oven moet doen. Dit jaar met nieuwe bedden van goede kwaliteit. De ontvangst van beheerder Monique was en is nog steeds super. Ze denkt met je mee en toen wij bij de nachtduik met een kwallenbeet werden geconfronteerd bracht zo per direct azijn naar ons toe. Cas Missisippi blijft voor ons een van onze favoriete locaties.

Heerlijk verblijf

Wij voelden ons direct thuis in deze woning. De ligging midden in de een woonwijk is ons perfect bevallen, het is een korte wandeling naar het centrum van Kralendijk. Monique, de beheerster is heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en attent. De porch ligt perfect in de wind waardoor je heerlijk kunt zitten. Kortom wat ns betreft een echte aanrader.

Leuk huis met groot terras. Veel voorzieningen. We hebben het naar ons zin gehad. Gastvrouw Monique helpt je op weg, kent het eiland goed, en je kunt haar alles vragen.

Wonderful stay

The house was clean and well equipped. The patio was cozy, inviting, and had a lovely breeze. Monique was extremely helpful. She greeted us at the house when we first arrived. She was easily reachable and available during our stay. Walking distance to dive shop (5 min) and restaurants (12 min). Highly recommended. We will go back!

Een leuk en goed ingericht huis.

Als je tussen de toeristen wil verblijven met alle lusten en lasten die daarbij horen, dan moet je dit huis niet boeken maar naar een resort gaan. Dit huis ligt in een woonwijk met z'n gezelligheid en uiteraard de geluiden die bij een woonwijk horen. Een haan, een hond, kinderen en gezellige mensen. Het huis heeft een prima ingerichte keuken zodat je niet uit eten hoeft te gaan. Overigens biedt Bonaire goede eetgelegenheden te over. Het huis ligt 5 minuten lopen van de zee en ligt dus perfect voor een rustige ochtend zwem of ochtendsnorkel. Monique, de beheerder, is de klantvriendelijkheid en gezelligheid ten top. Bij aankomst een mooie basisvoorraad eten en drinken voor de eerste avond na aankomst. Top service dus. Het huis heeft een mooie porch en een heerlijk verkoelende jacuzzi. Ga erin om af te koelen met een lekker drankje en hapje en je bent weer helemaal het heertje. Bonaire is het eiland voor duiken en snorkelen. Volop genieten dus ook van het altijd mooie klimaat. Dit huis is een echte aanrader.

Quaint, convenient and cheerful

Great place and only a short walk to downtown. Has a nice open kitchen and living room and great ventilation and cross breeze with the doors open. The back patio is lovely for lounging and enjoying your morning coffee or an afternoon nap with a pleasant breeze as well. Kitchen is properly outfitted for preparing meals but there are plenty of restaurants close by if you choose not to cook. Good value for the price and I'd stay there again!

Wonderful stay in this beautiful house just a few blocks from the ocean.

Great location and a wonderful home very close to the ocean. Just a short walk to the downtown area and a few minutes to watch the sunsets, snorkel or scuba dive. House is very well equipped for any length of stay. We were here for 10 weeks and were very happy with our accommodations. Owner extremely nice and easy to work with. Local management company answered all of our questions promptly. Many great restaurants to choose from just a short distance away. Would highly recommend staying here.
