Great if you are here to Windsurf

The Lac Bay Casitas are a bit too remote if you are looking for easy access to nightlife and shopping. But this is a great home base if your main reason for visiting Bonaire is windsurfing. You need a vehicle. Windsurf equipment rentals and sailing (Sorobon Beach) is 5 minutes away. The apartment isn't fancy, but the beds are comfortable and the neighbourhood is quiet. The kitchen is basic, with no oven or dishwasher, and there are no laundry facilities. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms if you need it. The neighbourhood is small and remote (maybe a dozen houses in total) but there is a nice restaurant (Foodies) open for dinner 5 days a week if you don't feel like cooking.

Excellent windsurfing accommodations.

Great place at a great price, There were 2 of us and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom, also had sitting room, dining table and kitchenette. 5 minutes to windsurfing at Sorobon Beach. Half the price of the resort we stayed at last year. The property manager (Petra) was super available, helpful and friendly. I've never given a 5 star review before, but there was just nothing to complain about here. It's just that good!

Relaxing stay close to windsurfing spot

Comfortable condo at the perfect location three minutes drive to windsurfing rentals. The property is clean; the kitchen is nicely equipped. Communication with the property manager was quick and efficient. My friend and I absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Great place

The place offers everything one needs during vacation. Nice quiet neighborhood, enough space for two couples, close to windsurfing. Petra was very responsive and offered a ride from the airport (which we didn't need but appreciated the offer).

Great home base for windsurfing!

Nice quiet location. Only a 5 minute drive or scooter ride from Lac Bay so easy to pop back and forth multiple times a day for windsurfing, wing sailing, snorkelling, or just general beach time. The beds are comfortable and the basic kitchen (stove top, no oven) is set up with everything we needed. Great restaurant (Foodies) just a few steps from your door if you don’t feel like cooking.

We had a wonderful time in the casita. The location is perfekt especialy if you plan to windsurf. Its quite and foodies one of our favorite restaurants just a 5 Min. walk away. If there is a problem its takong care of rightaway. If we come back to Bonair I think we might stay again in this casita .

Great place!

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week, and it was a great home base for easy access to Lac Baii windsurfing (5 min drive or 20 min walk) The place was not fancy, but suited our needs perfectly. The manager Petra was friendly and helpful. Great food next door at Foodies of we wanted to eat out. The basic kitchen (stove top but no oven) worked well for preparing our own meals the rest of the time. The beds were comfortable, and the nights were quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable and perfect location

I love this particular Casita. The owners are so accommodating and helpful. The property manager Petra is lovely and will help you anyway she can. They even had a taxi waiting for us on arrival so we didn’t have to figure out travel ourselves. Perfect, just perfect!

Great Vacation spot

The property was very well maintained. It seems the property managers are doing a good job for the owners. The place is ideally situated for Windsurfing lovers in Lac Baai. A very short drive 3 minutes’ drive will get you right at the launching areas. The area is quite and very nice, very peaceful. The property was very well equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare meals if you like to, great refrigerator with freezer. AC in the rooms is more than capable of giving you a fresh cool air to have a good night sleep. We like the fact that this property can easily accommodate 4 people and the two bathrooms are each located inside each room, therefore you get independence and privacy if you want to share the trip with some friends. The owners where very nice and always addressed all our questions. The property managers were very nice as well and they accommodated to our arrival schedule providing us the keys right upon our arrival to the airport. I will highly recommend this place.

Very good.

We really enjoyed the Apartment. It had everything in it that made for a comfortable and quiet stay. We had most all of our meals in, and found to have most of the necessities. The air conditioning worked very well; and on some days well appreciated. It was very clean and well looked after. Close to markets, and town. Yet far enough away to enjoy the county side. We felt very safe while staying here. We would definitely choose to stay here again; and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay on Bonaire.

Very nice

Our main purpose of the travel was windsurfing and this time we also completed PADI diving course during the stay. We cherished the location of Casita4 for it's proximity to windsurfing spot and peaceful and silent environment. The property was clean and well-maintained. The managers are extremely friendly and competent people. For the place to be perfect I would recommend housekeeping staff to provide extra paper and trash-bags without asking them. I would recommend this place to all people interested in windsurfing, snorkeling, diving and enjoying layed-back environment at the same time as a paradise.

charming and comfortable, ideal windsurfing location

This lovely apartment was the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Bonaire. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and well-maintained. The kitchenette was a bit basic but did include everything necessary for preparing all meals, including a new full-sized fridge and freezer. All of the electronics worked well and the internet connection was good and consistent. The location is ideal for access to Lac Bay, the main windsurfing spot on Bonaire - it is within easy walking distance (20 minutes, although you are almost always offered a lift by passing cars before you can walk more than 5 minutes - It is safe and easy to get lifts on Bonaire.) The owners answered all emails promptly (often within minutes) and never failed to provide friendly and helpful information - thank you Ilse and Maarten! The value for comfortable, private, quiet accommodations is unbeatable. I really felt at home. If you are a windsurfer and don't want to rent a car, you can't do better than this.

Would've loved to stay longer here

The apartment was even better than we expected. Our plane landed Bonaire late in the evening, property managers waited for us at the airport to guide us to the apartment. As none of the stores were open that late, property managers stocked up the fridge earlier so we could get some evening snack and breakfast next morning. Nice location by the Lac Bay, short trip to Sorobon and Kralendijk. Though the place is near mangroves I only saw one mosquito. Could easily spend the evenings at the front porch enjoying the nice breeze. Will definitely come back and can recommend this. Thanks to the owner and property managers, everything went smoothly.

lovely house at beautiful bay, would stay again

It is really cosy house at a nice but quiet bay, only 3 minutes drive away from the beautiful Sorobon lagoon. The house has everything you need for a holiday including a really relaxing view from the terrace. The owners and also the people looking after the house are really friendly and helpful. Best Stay and getaway!

We loved this spacious casita overlooking Lac Bay and at close proximity ( 2 minutes by car) to the best windsurfing spot on the island called sorobon. The Winfsurf Place and Jibe City offer fun classes and great rental gear. My husband was very pleased with the great surfing conditions and I, a novice, was pleased with the flat and shallow and warm waters. The casita made our stay wondetful. It has everything for an easy laid back vacation. Quiet, comfortable and cozy. We loved sitting outdoors at night and watch the starry night. Just a reminder bring enough sunscreen.
