I'm reviewing this based off of my expectations. It's not a 5 star resort, but that's not what we expected. Overall our stay was 5 stars for the price. It was clean, in a great spot and the fenced in yard was a plus for our dogs!
There was a little hiccup while trying to access the house, it was supposed to be unlocked but it wasn't- the access code was sitting on the counter inside the house. We received the instructions an hour after reaching out to Travis and we were then able to get in. We were arriving a few hours before check-in, which we had confirmed prior with Travis, and he said that was fine, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Also the code should probably be changed since it appears the code is the same for everyone, but maybe I'm just overly-cautious because crime is so much higher where I live.
Some suggestions to make the stay better would be to have more than 2 wash cloths in the entire house. Metal sautee pans instead of non-stick (the non-stick were all scratched up and I wouldn't use them like that - thankfully the BBQ was there to cook sausages and I brought breakfast sandwiches so I didn't need to cook any eggs). Curtains over the shades in the bedroom would make sleep much better, the shades alone let in too much light. The bed in the master bedroom was very firm but we got used to it.
The location is excellent, quiet, you can walk to everything. Being able to park under the carport was a plus since it snowed a few times while we were there.
Overall we'd recommend Travis's place if you need a stay in Sandpoint!
