Little things mean a lot! We arrived in the dark after a snowstorm. When we walked through the door, little lights were on throughout and the space was cozy and warm. We felt expected and welcome. The cottage was extremely well appointed with all the niceties of home—we wanted for nothing. Wood and kindling were also well stocked and ready for a fire in the impeccably clean fireplace. The queen bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space to store your belongings. Long views out the windows of snow-covered fields were peaceful and tranquil. The host was very communicative, friendly, and accommodating. We’ve stayed in a number of vacation rentals over the years, and this was hands down one of the best so far!

This home was beautiful, clean, quiet, and very cozy. Views on a winter day were perfect. Fireplace at night was a delight! Everything you need in the kitchen to make a lovely dinner. We hope to visit again.

We have only positive things to say about our visit to this beautiful cottage. Irene is a delightful host, very responsive to any question I had and made sure that we had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. It felt more like staying with a friend than a rental unit. If you are looking for a peaceful place to rest and restore, this is it.

A dreamy cottage. Very well kept. Excellent vibes. We felt fully rejuvenated. Wish I was richer so I could afford a longer stay. The host was very prompt with any help we needed. The area is nice with convenience stores and a couple of food joints. We fully stayed in - making the most of the cottage and the scenery of fall weather in upstate New York.

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday and we could not have asked for a better place to stay to make her celebration more memorable. It is such a quaint, cozy and charming cottage and the setting is absolutely beautiful, from the quiet solitude, the beautiful songs of the birds, gazing at the stars, watching the sun rise over the field and trees, and I could go on and on. The cottage is ideally located to all the parks in the area and all the nearby towns.The host, Irene, was wonderful! We will be definitely coming back.

Irene responded quickly to our request to stay. Communication was easy and her personalized hostess note and beverage for our anniversary stay was delightful. The location of the cottage was perfect for accessing area bike trails and close enough to New Paltz and Woodstock for day trips. The cottage was outfitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this host and cottage for a welcoming, clean and gracious experience.

Sylvan Solitude

As a seasoned user of VRBO type properties, I found this cottage very nicely appointed. All necessities provided in the kitchen, along with overall comfort whether inside or out on the quiet deck with a view of a tree lined meadow. Peaceful is a good description. Irene is helpful and unobtrusive.

Quiet, scenic and felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The host called to be sure we had everything needed and just to welcome us - an unexpected, but lovely touch. Wonderful!

What a perfect, cozy getaway spot. The cottage was everything we needed for a quick weekend away. The location was great, lots to do within a short drive and the walking oath right outside the front door was icing on the cake. Our host Irene was a pleasure and we woukd stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful!

We have stayed in the cottage several times. It's a great location and Irene is a terrific host. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. We were perfectly situated for everything we wanted to do, including a tour at Olana, a hike around Denman Mountain and a walk on the Walkill Valley Trail. We didn't have time to walk the trail right out the cottage door, but we could see it as we enjoyed our dinner on the deck each night.

One more great stay!

The house is very cozy and Irene is a wonderful host. We stayed two nights for the 3rd time. Each time has been a relaxing and rejuvenating time. If we come back to New York we will be staying here.

The cottage has everything you'd need for a relaxing stay indoors, as well as a wealth of information about attractions throughout the county, should you wish to explore. Irene was a delight to work with. We hope to return soon.

Coziest cottage!

We have stayed at this cottage a few times so far. It never disappoints! The cottage is so comfortable and cozy. We love that there is a wood fireplace. Irene keeps the cottage stocked with some nice amenities. It is close to Minnewsaka State Park and Mohonk Mountain. And New Paltz. My favorite is the rail trail right out the door! We will be back! Seeetest cottage!

The Cozy Cottage

Very beautiful property with plenty of amenities! Everything you need for the perfect campfire indoors. Great movie selection and library incase the weather isn’t the greatest. Always warm with beautiful sky lighting.
