Perfect location!

This is an adorable, well maintained house in a perfect location. There is a trail right out the front door. It is minutes away from Minnewaska and Mohonk. A great couples get away.

Serenity

We enjoyed our weekend to Kerhonkson and the Hudson Valley area. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. Clean, charming, adjacent to a beautiful walking path, and the property itself was peaceful and cozy. Irene is an amazing host. Emailed prior to check-in with various recommendations for eating, shopping, and site seeing. We walked to Mill & Main for a wonderful dinner, and took advantage of the provision shop for coffee one morning (but loved having the coffee pot & accessories at the house too!). What an amazing treat to have been able to enjoy this property. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us Irene! We hope to be back!

A Cozy Cabin

This cabin was extremely clean and had everything you could need. The location next to the trail was outstanding. The fireplace worked great for the chilly weather. It is super cute and I would definitely recommend it for a couple nights away. Irene was a great host.

Wonderful getaway!

We loved our long weekend at the cottage. It's cozy and really feels like a home. The patio, yard, and rail trail right out the door give you so much outdoor space as well! Great proximity to hiking, restaurants, breweries, and more. Irene was an excellent host and shared many great recommendations for the area. We hope to come back soon!

Loved our stay!

This was our second time back and we were so happy to stay here again! The cottage is so cozy and clean. Having the rail trail right there to go out for walks is great. And Minnewaska was a short drive away to go hiking. Highly recommend!

Cozy cottage

This was our second time here and it won’t be the last! This cottage is so cozy it’s more comfortable than my home! We enjoyed the fireplace immensely. Irene is a great host providing amenities you don’t expect in a rental. It’s also close to great hiking, biking, easy rail trail walks and the town of new Paltz.

amazing cottage!

Irene was such a wonderful host, my fiance and I were looking to get away for his birthday and we were pleasantly surprised by everything the cottage and surrounding area had to offer. It was cozy, quaint, and we felt right at home. The local breweries and hiking paths in the area enhanced our stay and we look forward to coming back!

Wonderful location and hospitality

This was our fourth time at this cozy cottage by the rail trail in Kerhonkson. As usual, the cottage is clean, fully furnished with all necessary amenities, and ready for winter with nice heating throughout. We had a really peaceful and restful time and we thoroughly recommend the place and the host, Irene.

Charming cottage

This cottage was the cutest cottage we’ve stayed in! Irene is the ultimate host providing amenities above and beyond with touches of comfort. We loved the location in its proximity to great hiking and there’s a rail trail right out the door! We will definitely be back!

Perfect

It really was an enchanted cottage.

We loved the location, secluded and yet on the rail trail. The garden was lovely and the house was well appointed. It was just right for two people. We would love to stay there again!

Lives up to its name

Adorable cottage in a perfect location. Centrally located to many activities. Solitude, beautiful views. Host made the stay so special with a well-stocked kitchen a nice array of drinks. Clean and cozy. Highly recommend this place.

Truly enchanted

Cottage is simply lovely with quaint decor and is well stocked and comfortable. The deck is perfect to enjoy morning coffee or beer/wine in the evening to wind down. And the landscaping is so pretty. Perfect location to Minnewaska State Park. Five star experience. Irene is amazing.

Perfect Race Weekend Cottage Stay

My Husband and I travelled to the Sky Island Cottage to be close to Minnewaska State Park for the SOS triathlon. Irene's cottage was perfect for our needs. The cottage was immaculate, had everything we needed, was quiet and very comfortable. The cottage is right on the trail system and has a wonderful market with amazing coffee and a restaurant with fantastic drinks just a short walk away. We also very much enjoyed the local brewery, RoughCut. We can't say enough wonderful things about the cottage! The communication with Irene was also excellent and we had a very easy check in and check out. We obviously can't wait to go back!

Charming cottage in a bucolic setting

We had a wonderful time at Irene's cottage and enjoyed total privacy in a restful, bucolic area. The location is conveniently located near a rail trail perfect for biking and walking. There is a lovely deck for outdoor relaxation. Irene's cottage was comfortable (the bed especially is amazingly comfortable), clean and well equipped. We will happily stay here again!

Magical Indeed

We absolutely loved our experience. The house is filled with every amenity you can think of. Don't even get me started on this fireplace - what a joy! I picked this location specifically because of the access to the trail. What a wonderful experience - being able to walk out the front door and your wilderness journey begins. You can walk for literal miles enjoying a flat path with the river to your left. It was the decompression we were searching for. Irene is such a lovely woman and we were grateful to have such a thoughtful host. I would like to mention a prior reviewer stated you can see people on the trail from the windows but if this isn't your speed, just roll down the curtains - this is what we did in the evenings and it was great. Literally down the block is the best provisions store with local yummies and the BEST coffee. We hope to rent again the summer. Do not pass this listing up!

Perfect getaway

Irene offered us lots of information about the cottage and attractions in the area. The cottage was spotless and so comfortable! The area around the cottage is peaceful, quiet, and full of natural beauty. The location is terrific - right near an easy trail for walking, close to lots of hiking and lots of great restaurants. We're so happy we stayed with at the cottage!

Perfect getaway

The cottage was perfect. Irene thought of everything and it is all kept so clean and thoughtfully. The area is amazing with so many beautiful things to explore. Even in the winter we found some fun hikes and things to explore. The cabin was cozy with the fireplace and there’s a perfect little coffee shop/provisions store a 3 minute walk down the street. Highly recommend this cottage!!!
