Bachelorette Perfection

We had a large party of mixed ages women gather in Deep Creek to celebrate our bride to be. This home was absolutely perfect, the view is incredible- it’s spacious, it’s perfectly located. It felt extremely safe and was very well kept. It was the perfect cabin getaway for us all. Thank you for an amazing time!

Great Property

We stayed here for a long weekend with friends and family. The layout of the home was especially accommodating for each of the families staying with us and the location was great. I would only caution that the home is located on a steep slope and the walk down the drive to the front door might be a problem if the party were to include someone that had difficulty with that sort of thing. For us, thiugh, it was wonderful!

Beautiful property; come prepared

Beautiful home, incredible location with a stellar view! Only reason it’s not 5 stars if that the unit could use some maintenance on various things and didn’t come with the typical necessities like trash bags, shampoo, body wash etc.

Great Views ,Location and Natural Light

2003 built property is spacious. Age is showing on older appliances, fixtures. House was broom clean but not spic and span. Mold on the bathroom tile grout is unappealing, floors need a thorough scrubbing as bare feet are blackened walking in the home. Supply of firewood and the hot tub was nice. We enjoyed a great night at the fire pit making smores. Area around the pit does need to be leveled. Interior lighting needs updating. Very dark in the kitchen and LL rec area. Gas fireplace did not seem to be working.

A little disappointed

My family and I had a fun time at Blue Sky. That being said, there were some issues. (1) My request for removal of the young locust trees off the back of the deck on Thursday afternoon was never answered. I offered to remove them myself-- I could have had them down in 10 minutes. Locust trees are fast growing and spread quickly. Much of the view of the lake is now obscured, and all of the view will be obscured by this time next year. The view was the main reason I booked this home. The pictures of the deck view in the listing do not match reality. (2) Two issues with the gas grill: (A) one of the propane tanks was completely empty. They responded quickly and got it refilled the next day, which is great, but it made for complications when we had planned our family dinner around grilling on the deck the night before. (B) Even with the new tank, there is a problem with the gas flow. Even turned on high, the flame is really low. After 30 minutes, we needed to transfer the burgers indoors to be finished in the oven. (3) Weeds growing up through crack along the driveway that you rub up against when you are walking by a parked car, another vine weed growing up the wall on the lower deck. (4) Most of the pool cues are broken (a couple of the tips are loose and taped on). A couple other minor issues, but not enough room in this review. It just seemed like there isn't someone checking the house on a regular basis to make sure everything is in good condition.

Fun Family Vacation

The house was perfect for 14 family members and the view and location was outstanding. The only complaint we have is that the hot tube was cold. We called to have it fixed and it remained cold after maintenance came out.

Great Snow Weekend

Perfect weekend getaway for some close friends. House was amazing, but gave location 4 stars because the driveway was difficult with all of the snow. But the view was worth it. Will definitely book again.

Off to a slow start.

The day before our stay, we received a phone call from property management co. stating the hot tub was not working. Then, while driving our 5.5 hr. trip to the property, we received an email the fireplace was not working. When speaking with the management co. Railey Vacations, for answers and a possible credit, got the run arounds and an offer for a $50 credit. At $800/night avg. I’d say that’s an insult. After numerous conversations, issues were resolved; was not a good start to our four night stay. Would not use Railey Vacations again.

Wonderful guys cabin trip

We had a great time at the property for the cabin trip. No problems at all with the property, but they are right to warn about the drive-way. However, we were overly concerned about vehicle access because there was plenty of parking outside of the drive-way. Also, it is important to check the weather as one of our cars was stuck in the driveway overnight due to snow. No problem getting it out in the morning with some salt but a good thing to remember for future guests. Overall one of the best property experiences we have had.

Great trip

Amazing location and view. One of the best views I ever had. We lost electricity for about 5 hours due to high winds in the area. No ones fault, but the house did not have any flashlights and is not prepared to handle a power outage. The beds downstairs could all use new (softer) mattresses. Pool table and hot tub are great amenities.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the house was great. One of 10+ rentals for a family event. Family was comfortable and enjoyed their stay as well as sharing. Parking for the 5 cars was a challenge and maneuvering around the rocks in the turn-around was difficult. Overall it worked well for our event.

Off-season getaway weekend

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was wonderful and the weekend was fantastic. I would absolutely stay there again. It was so nice to find a house that wasn't packed with bunk beds, as we took 14 adults and no kids. All beds are queen (1 sofa bed, which worked out fine) and one king, and the rooms were spacious. The design of the house was perfect in that there was a large common area on the main level, with other gathering areas upstairs and downstairs. The fire pit was used each night, and there is a shed at the bottom of the mountain with firewood. The hot tub was a welcomed amenity as well. The view from the back of the house is breathtaking, which made for some interesting photography throughout a weekend of tumultuous weather. If I had to think of any constructive feedback it would be: (1) the WiFi was very unreliable, which caused an issue for some folks who had to work for a few hours on Friday (they went down to the McDonald's to use the WiFi there) and (2) the lack of blinds/curtains on many of the bedroom windows, which likely isn't an issue in the summer or winter when there are many activities to get up early for, but in the off-season it prevented us from sleeping in. Still, I would absolutely recommend this house.

Great house, great time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had two families (10 people in total, plus one dog) stay at Waltzing Moose Lodge over Presidents Day weekend. It was fantastic! The house is beautiful with spectacular views! It was plenty of room for us all. We loved the air hockey table, the pool table, and the hot tub! We'd love to go back again someday, perhaps next time in the summer.
