This was a wonderful place for my extended family to stay for my nephew’s wedding. We had four generations. Beautiful, wide open space, very easy for my elderly parents to get around. Brandon was very attentive, checked in often allowed a later Check out when my mother had to go to the ER the night before. I would highly recommend!

It was the perfect kitchen for our crew. The appliances are a little older and xould use a better clean, but it worked well for our needs. The checkin was very easy.

Summer reunion

This was the 3rd time my family has vacationed at Brandon’s home. As always, we had a great time in the Deep Creek area. The house is so comfortable and spacious for our large group. Both the large porch and kitchen/dining areas were great areas to gather and have fun. Anything and everything you could think of is available for a pleasant stay.

Christmas at Wisp

The house was conveniently located to Wisp. Very beautiful, nicely decorated fot Christmas. Exactly as the listing. Had one small issue and it was promptly taken care of.

BEAUTIFUL Getaway Home

This is such a beautiful home!!! We stayed at this home Thanksgiving 2024. Words just cannot describe how many things this home has to make you feel right at home! There is just so much space and every room had a touch of home feeling! There were all kinds of games and toys that the little ones definitely enjoyed. The kitchen was amazing!! They had everything.....literally....the kitchen had everything! It was a dream! The large table in the kitchen was so convenient and allowed us all to sit at the table! The house was decorated so nicely! Definitely gave that touch of the holiday season! I cannot even describe the beauty of outside....deers jumping around in the trees and it snowed just enough! We live in TX so we dont see snow often so it was definitely a treat! The firepit outside was beautiful! We created so many family memories! I can only describe a few here! Also, the host Brandon was awesome! He was easy to contact and very responsive! We definitely enjoyed this house!!

Excellent long weekend

Stone's Throw was really great. It is spacious, nicely decorated, and has everything that you'll need for your stay. I'm really glad that I found it for this trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Weekend rafting trip

Overall, great experience: Very nice and clean property. Brandon was responsive with any questions leading up to our stay. The only opportunity is that I didn’t realize sheets and towels weren’t included. Though it does say it in the house rules, I missed it. This is different than other rental properties I stayed at. Luckily we caught this prior to the trip and brought them.

Lovely house and very spacious.

Lots of space, dining table for 10 which is difficult to find, and lots of bathrooms. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. If you stay a while be prepared to provide your own toilet paper and paper towels. Brandon was easy to communicate with.

Perfect

The house was beautiful and spacious! The location was perfect and close to everything! The kitchen had everything we needed. The game room was the best I’ve seen and enjoyed by all! The only downsides were the smell of the well water and the musty smell in the basement and the amount of bugs coming in both the front and downstairs back door due to the lights.

Family Thanksgiving

We LOVED Stone’s Throw! Did not want to leave! The kitchen was very well equipped. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and had everything we needed! It was so nice arriving to the home already decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed card games around the large dining table. Everyone said the beds were comfortable. We highly recommend!!!!

Autumn Getaway

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. It was a perfect fit for our group of 12. The kitchen & dining room were spacious & well stocked. Meal prep & eating together was easy and fun. All the bedrooms & bathrooms were large, clean, and well decorated. The living room & game room easily accommodated all of us watching tv, playing pool, shuffle board, card games, etc. We loved the backyard fire pit. The house & surrounding neighborhood were peaceful, wooded, with nice wildlife when taking walks. The location was perfect for day trips, sightseeing, restaurants, etc. We’re already hoping to return next fall and stay at Stones Throw again.

Stones Throw Stay

Overall everything was great. House was clean and as advertised. It does have a ton of space, each one if us didnt feel cramped and had space to spread out. Back deck was really nice and patio furniture was in great shape. Location is in a good spot too.

Family Gathering

Wonderful property

This was our second time at Stones Throw. It is a beautiful home, privately owned, which we find are the nicer properties as they are better kept and are well stocked with kitchen items. The rooms are warm and inviting, the beds are comfortable, and it was decorated for Christmas before we arrived! The rooms are generously sized and the home is so large our grandchildren were removed from our family chatter during naps and early bedtimes. We always enjoy the game room downstairs - ping pong, pool, game table, and table shuffleboard. Each bedroom has its own bathroom or a shared bathroom, which accommodates a large family with lots of adults well. We would return to Stones Throw again! It's in a lovely neighborhood for walks, and we took family photos at the lake to remember the time there, with 12 of us from 6 states! Thank you for the great return trip Brandon.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

With our growing family, it's hard to find a place to accommodate our needs. Not only did A Stones Throw meet our needs, it far exceeded them! The splendor and spaciousness of this home is unmatched, providing plenty of space for multi age levels to enjoy. The rooms were plentiful and beautifully appointed, as is the entire home. The deck was a treasure to enjoy all times of the day, also beautifully appointed. It truly felt like we were staying at a "home away from home" ... warm and welcoming. We wish we would have had more yard for the kids to play ball, however, with the beautiful parks nearby, it was surely not an issue. Our host was kind, communicative, and timely ... and the home was exactly what was pictured on VRBO, even better! We thank the K family for a wonderful week enjoying time together as a family, and the beautiful area of Deep Creek. We hope to return again!

Great escape in McHenry

8 adults and 4 children had an exceptional week at Stones Throw in McHenry, MD. Location, as the name implies, was close to all the major attractions in the area but was tucked away in the woods so you couldn't hear the hustle and bustle. The property was very well laid out with tons of included supplies, especially the kitchen, amenities, and games for all ages. Our host was very attentive to our requests and replied with alacrity. All in a all, a superb vacation spot. Thank you for the memories.

Great place to stay for a long weekend in the Deep Creek area

Stones Throw was a great place to stay. The common areas are really big and great for friend and family gatherings. The location relatively to Wisp and other activities can't be beat. The host was very communicative and responded to all of our questions in a timely manner.

Great Family Retreat House

We stayed here over Christmas and had the best time! The house is in great condition and was in super clean condition. Bringing our own bedsheets was a bit of a pain but hey, at least you know it's clean! There was ample cooking supplies and toys for the kids to play with as well as board games and puzzles (without missing peices!) You can tell the owners also spend time in the house as everything has a warm homely feel and all the little things you might need ( a pair of scissors or a screwdriver to adjust bindings) are there in the house. Overall we're super glad we chose this house!

Looking forward to next time!

Our family of 10 (ages 60 to age 1) celebrated Thanksgiving at this lovely cabin. The cabin itself is massive and cozy at the same time. It is clear that this cabin was built with love. The kitchen is huge and well stocked (more so than mine!). Each bedroom is large and has a private bath, which was appreciated. Gathering in the great room with the fire, playing games, and watching movies was a hit. The kids enjoyed the Christmas tree and were hopeful for a visit from Santa (hahah). Having a large enough table for us to enjoy meals all together was perfect. Under the kitchen table is a perfect place for toddlers to play "fort" we discovered :) Day 3 we woke up to 2 inches of snow - which was beautiful. We will definitely want to visit again!

Amazing experience and beautiful property

This house offered an amazing experience for my friends and family. The location was in close proximity to many activities while being secluded enough to make the experience feel our own. The owner was extremely helpful an informative and we will be booking again!
