We stayed for 4 days in July with our twin 17-year-olds (son and daughter). It was perfect for our family. The place is very clean and well stocked. The owner, Bret, answered questions we had, right away for us. He let us know that housekeeping had finished and we could check in early, although we were having too much fun off-roading and playing in the snow, so we didn't end up taking advantage of that opportunity - but we really appreciated that Bret got back to us right away to let us know! The property manager, Renn, is very nice, too.
Check-in was a breeze with the door code and lock system. We loved this feature! It made coming and going so much easier. We were super impressed at how nice this condo has been kept and how clean it was. This place has everything we needed and more. The bathrooms on each level were a must for the 4 of us getting ready each day. There were even little hotel-sized shampoos, soaps, and makeup remover wipes. Lots of nice touches, and lots of extra towels, blankets, and pillows, should you need them. The kitchen cupboards have spices and coffee and other items you may need. There is a full size coffee maker and a Keurig single cup brewer. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen was very well-stocked with everything.
The beds were comfy and the upstairs was warm in the evenings, but Bret left a fan, which was very helpful. Once you open the windows and let the breeze in, it cools off nicely. I was worried that it would be uncomfortable, but I think the fan really helped. I really liked how the stairs are not steep steps, which made bringing the luggage up and down so much easier! We always found a parking spot in the evenings upon returning, even on the days when we got in very late.
The location was great for all the things we wanted to do. We went boating on Lake Mary, visited the Devil's Postpile and hiked some trails along the river. We drove the Tioga Pass through Yosemite and back on the Sonora Pass and did lots of hiking along the routes. There are tons of Jeep trails around the area, too. We drove to the top of Deadman's Pass. There was a lot of snow to play in still for July! This rental is walking distance to shops and restaurants, and there is a nice park forest in the neighborhood. We got to see a lot of wildlife, and even a bear playing in Yosemite. It was a great trip.
I think the owners of this condo went out of their way to make this an awesome rental. Thank you!
