伝統的なメイン州の漁港を望むオーシャンフロントコテージ

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that Seaside Rose provided the peaceful, comfortable home base you were hoping for during your visit to MDI. The upstairs bedroom and private bathroom are favorites for families, and we love that your kids had their own space to enjoy. It sounds like you made the most of the area, especially with your visit to Swans Island and those beautiful early morning and evening views by the water. Thank you for choosing our family-owned home for your vacation. We truly appreciate your kind words and would love to welcome you back to Seaside Rose again someday!

Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear that Seaside Rose was a comfortable and convenient home base for exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. We’re glad you enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, grill, and the convenience of having two bathrooms during your stay. Thank you for choosing our family-owned home. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would be happy to welcome you back to Seaside Rose in the future!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at Seaside Rose and appreciated the beautiful views, cozy atmosphere, and convenient location for exploring Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park. We especially appreciate your kind words about the cleanliness of the home. Keeping Seaside Rose exceptionally clean and welcoming is something we take great pride in, and it means a lot to hear that it helped make your stay more comfortable. Thank you for choosing our family-owned home for your visit. We’d love to welcome you back again in the future!

Thanks for the great review Matthew! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and honored to be considered as your favorite! I hope we're able to host you again someday!

Thanks for the great review Robin. It's true! The quiet side of the island is filled with gorgeous places, many of which aren't as crowded as those closer to downtown Bar Harbor. The Bass Harbor lighthouse is the BEST place on the island to catch the sunset! I'm so glad to hear you captured such memorable photographs! - Amber

Thanks for the review Peter! It is such a bummer when you're in an outdoor destination and the weather is poor. For our future guests who are caught in the rain, I love to get out on the trails when it's a bit drizzly - I basically have the whole park to myself! Another great rainy day activity is to take a Paddle Board trip with Acadia SUP located in downtown Bar Harbor. In the summer, it's often warm enough even in the rain, and on the paddle boards you can get in and out of the lake and really enjoy being wet! For indoor activities I recommend the Seal Cove Auto Museum, the Abbe Museum, the Bar Harbor Historical Society, the George Dorr Museum of Natural History, the Sieur de Monte Nature Center, or the Great Harbor Maritime Museum. - Amber

Thank you so much for this thoughtful and detailed review. We are so grateful that you chose Seaside Rose for your family’s stay and that you took the time to share not only your experience at the house, but also what makes this corner of Mount Desert Island so special. It means a lot to hear that the layout, ocean breezes, natural light, and accessible first-floor spaces helped make the home a comfortable place for your family. We appreciate you sharing the details about your husband’s wheelchair accessibility needs as well. While Seaside Rose was not built to full ADA standards, we are always grateful for feedback that helps future guests understand the home’s features and limitations clearly. We especially loved your description of the “quiet side” of MDI. The early morning lobster boats, the gardens, the pie stands, the winding roads, and the rhythm of a traditional Downeast community are exactly the things that make this area so memorable. It sounds like you embraced the slower pace and found some wonderful adventures around the island. Thank you also for sharing your beautiful sunset photo. Those oceanfront moments are some of our favorite parts of Seaside Rose, and we are delighted you got to experience them. We would be thrilled to welcome your family back anytime!

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review! We love hearing how your family enjoyed not only Seaside Rose, but also the unique experiences that make Bass Harbor such a special place. From spike ball and bike rides in the yard to exploring the harbor, visiting Thurston’s, and even meeting Uno the neighborhood parrot, it sounds like you truly embraced the slower pace and local charm of the area. We’re so glad the home was a comfortable and welcoming place for your family after days of hiking and exploring Acadia. We also appreciate your helpful feedback about creating a more comfortable upstairs gathering space for teens. That’s a great suggestion, and we’re always looking for ways to make Seaside Rose even more enjoyable for our guests. Thank you for choosing our family-owned home. We would be delighted to welcome your family back for another MDI adventure!
