First, the location was great being directly across the street from the beach. The lake behind the unit was fun too with feeding turtles.
Now the inside of the unit is a different story. First, it appeared as if it had a quick clean at best done. There was hair on the bed sheets, cobwebs in the corners, and different broken plug outlets. After buying products to clean, we wanted to shower. That is when the problems started. The shower in the bedroom only had really cold water, no hot water at all. The extra shower, while also freezing cold had NO water pressure. The water was just dripping out of the shower head. After contacting the customer service number, I was told it would be fixed but there was not an ETA. Not having hot water for showers, especially after being at the beach and pool was going to be an issue. All night we waited to hear when it would be fixed and never did. The next morning I reached out again and was told the “local office” would call me soon. After a nearly 2 hour wait I called the customer service number back and was then told I could be refunded, which we took thankfully.
As we were getting back to the unit to get our stuff out for a new hotel, we saw ServPro arrive. Instead of them being there to fix the water heater, we observed them cut out a section of the wall (maybe 4 ft by 4 ft) that was COVERED in black mold. There was also furniture in the unit we could see that was covered with plastic, so knowing that we slept above a unit infested with black mold and it must have been known and not relayed to us is extremely frustrating. Definitely would not recommend this company to anybody.
