*PLEASE NOTE: SunDestin Beach Resort is undergoing a property modernization project. Construction may occur daily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., including weekends if needed, and guests may experience construction noise and minor inconveniences. Outdoor amenities (excluding the hot tub) are currently closed and are expected to reopen in Spring 2026. Dates and timelines are subject to change.

The popular Sundestin Beach Resort is centrally located in the heart of beautiful downtown Destin, just minutes from a wide variety of shops, recreation, nightlife and some of Destin’s most loved restaurants. The beautiful eighteen-story beach-front complex offers unsurpassed views of the breathtaking Gulf of Mexico while providing all of the comforts one would expect while vacationing on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The resort features a host of amenities such as a gulf-front outdoor pool, a seasonally-heated indoor pool, outdoor and indoor hot tubs, fitness room, sauna, steam room, gas barbecue grills, massage therapy, gift shop, video arcade, and much more. Location, affordability, amenities and a friendly, onsite, 24-hour staff makes Sundestin Beach Resort this one of Destin’s favorite resorts.
Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Ongoing construction and amenity closures are to be expected. Construction is predicted to be completed Spring 2026.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Place was overall clean when we arrived. If you want to be a bit pickier- couch cushion was stained brown. Markings on walls. Clock was chipped. Overall it was a decent stay. Very upsetting the pool was closed and was not disclosed or made known to us. We won’t be back or use Vacasa in the future.

This is not 605

The pictures on VRBO are not of the actual unit. This was very misleading. The furniture was old and the king bed should be replaced. Besides not being happy with our unit they had major construction going on, so very noisy to the point of having to leave some days.

Horrible

The property was not as listed (different furniture and decor and the bed was broken)and was very dirty. We contacted Vacaso and were told that someone would take care of it. My family became very sick while staying here. We spent hours cleaning and sanitizing the property. 100% would not stay here again and would not recommend.

Great room, okay hotel.

The room was clean, stocked and a great view! The hotels hot tub however was cold the entire time with no hurry to get it fixed. When I book vacations it’s always with a beach front hot tub so you can imagine my disappointment there.

The only issue was there is no water pressure in the shower. Took a loooong time to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. And a few sand fleas that was a bite annoying.

VACASA

The property was perfect , we loved location and convenience. We did not like however having to deal with VACASA, we flew in early and phoned VACASA to inquire about an early check in and were advised that was ok it would be between 12-3 after unit was cleaned. The cleaning service was finished at approximately 1:30 and we never received a call or text to check in early, we finally got in the room at our regular check in time of 4, after sitting in the lobby all day . We always use VRBO and will definitely stay at SunDestin Resort again but we will not book a room that is managed by VACASA ever again, very poor experience with VACASA!!!

Nice place

The room was nice and clean. I’ve stayed at this place before in a different room and the location is great. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we were provided with enough towels and cleaning products. Sheets for the fold out sofa were also provided. There were a few technical issues that were disappointing. Overall a nice condo. We would stay again.

AWFUL!

The pictures in this listing not what was in the condo. No table to seat four people. Different furniture, etc. Bed had two thin sheets (no comforter) and one blanket for the fold out bed. Shower had mold all in the grout. Condo was very outdated and smelled like mildew. Floors had some kind of film on them as well and were sticky. This is a Vacasa listing and they are awful!! The most unaccommodating service I've ever used. No customer service at all - was told I could check in early, that never happened. They never let us know via email/text when we could check in like they originally told me on the phone. I called Vascasa two days before our arrival to see if I could add on an extra night at any of the condos in this resort and was told Sundestin was completely sold out. When I actually get to the resort, I am told by the front desk that they have several rooms available, just not the rooms managed under Vascasa - so I felt like I was deliberately lied too because Vascasa didn't have availability, but the actual resort did have rooms. Just a terrible experience. the Sundestin employees were nice, but do not book this if you have to deal with Vascasa! I wish I would have known this was managed under Vascasa, as I would have never booked this place!

This place is absolutely gorgeous and super nice. We loved our stay. Everything was great, I just recommend bringing a few of your own blankets. The ones in our room were super thin. Other than that it was amazing and we will definitely stay here again!

Was not a very good experience

The home had a strong sour smell, the bed sheets were sour. The ceiling fan in the front room needs to be repaired. The bath towels were thin and scratchy. Head board of the bed frame needs to be dusted. Then we paid for a cleaning fee so why did we get an email saying to start the dish washer like what is the cleaning fee for. Unit 605 for Vacasa was not a good experience.

Great Location

I would stay again but had an issue with the floors were not clean. The bathroom toilet was not properly cleaned and smelled of urine.
