Great time in Sarlat

This was a wonderful place to stay just a short walk to the center of Sarlat. The house was beautiful with every amenity including a sauna and pool. Pierre was so helpful and personable. We could not have asked for a better place. Everything was wonderful.

Lovely place to stay

Exactly as advertised, just outside the beautiful town of Sarlat. There are other houses around, but you don’t really feel overlooked. The host is friendly and helpful. He lives nearby, but left us alone, which was great. It’s a short walk into Sarlat-la-Canéda, but a steep walk home, although I guess you could drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved!!!

Our family of 6 stayed at this clean, comfortable home, just a short walk from the medieval town of Sarlat. We visited in early April, so we did not use the pool or spend much time on the expansive deck, but it was a wonderful place to relax and recharge between all the sightseeing in the area. The kitchen is well-equipped for any cooking you might want to do. the 4 bedrooms were spacious and light filled. Pierre and Karin met us when we arrived to let us in and show us around. We are hoping to return before too much time passes.

Week in Sarlat

The accommodation was spacious and in a quiet, perfect location close to the medieval centre. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, but I have to say the communication beforehand was very poor and our host was very unhelpful while we were there. The outside area could be great, but the decking is very old and uneven and in need of replacement. The steps down to the pool area need a handrail. With two very small children, they certainly needed close monitoring. Also, a metal strip along the edge of the pool was broken in one place, causing me to cut my fingers badly on the jagged edge. With a little more care and attention, this could be a lovely place to stay. However, the host failed to respond to several enquiries beforehand about the provision of a cot (we packed a travel cot from UK, but then found there was one there). The sauna did not work and when asked about it, he just shrugged and said it was working the previous week. There were a couple of other similar incidents during our week there. I'm always reluctant to complain, but parents should be aware of the issues around the outside area and, as a host myself, I found the lack of helpfulness unforgivable.

Localisation parfaite à moins de 5 min. à pied du magnifique centre historique et en plein coeur du Perigord Noir.Grand terrain. Grande terrasse avec vue sur le clocher de Sarlat.Très agréable petite piscine que le propriétaire nous avait chauffée à 25.Calme absolu très apprécié. Équipement complet. Propriétaire accueillant.Conclusion : parfaitement recommandable (ce que nous ferons à nos connaissances)

Gite à situation idéale pour profiter au maximum

Gite idéalement situé à deux pas du cenre médiéval de Sarlat, donc pas besoin de voiture. Site calme, conçu pour le repos et la détente. Accueil chaleureux du propriétaire et très bons conseils pour le côté gastronomique. Je recommande.

Points à améliorer pour un séjour parfait à Sarlat

Notre séjour à Sarlat, dans un cadre magnifique, a été assombri par plusieurs soucis. Premièrement, un four défectueux, dont la porte ne fermait pas correctement, présentait un risque, notamment à cause des boutons brûlants. De plus, l'absence de barrière autour de la piscine nous a constamment préoccupés pour la sécurité de notre enfant. Le logement était propre mais les finitions laissent à désirer. Une plaque métallique, partie de la cheminée, est tombée du plafond, heureusement sans faire de blessé, mais révélant un problème de sécurité majeur, étant donné qu'elle n'était fixée que par du scotch. Nous avions également prévu un barbecue mais avons été déçus de découvrir que le gaz était épuisé, nous forçant à commander des repas en attendant une nouvelle bouteille le lendemain. Malgré ces points, le logement est bien situé, offrant un accès facile à la beauté de Sarlat. Nous espérons que nos remarques contribueront à améliorer l'expérience des futurs locataires, surtout en matière de sécurité et de confort.

Super maison pour les vacances ! Parfait à 8. Localisation franchement exceptionnelle tout près du centre de Sarlat (5 min à pied) et super calme !!! Piscine sympa. Grand terrain pour les enfants. Accueil super et propriétaires à l’ecoute si besoin . Je recommande !
