Eine herausragende Ferienwohnung in jeder Hinsicht! Yann Tourland sorgt dafür, dass auch das kleinste Detail stimmt. Wir waren zu dritt in der für 8 Personen ausgelegten Wohnung und haben den vielen Platz, den Pool und die beiden Terrassen richtig genossen. Die Nachbarschaft ist sehr ruhig. Sarlat und die nähere Umgebung haben dem Besucher sehr viel zu bieten (Lascaux, Gouffre de Padirac, Schlösser, Dörfer, Kanufahrten auf Dordogne und Vézère...), so dass eine Woche bei weitem nicht ausreicht, alles kennenzulernen. Ausgezeichnete Restaurants! Wer seinen Urlaub hier verbringen will, macht mit dieser einmaligen Ferienwohnung keinen Fehler.

Excellent holiday experience, we were a family of seven with adult children, very spacious comfortable accommodation with a wonderful pool on the hot sunny days to enjoy. Short walk into Sarlat which was perfect as having holidayed in the area many times, market days can be difficult to park. Yann was a very welcoming host, spoke better English than our French and ensured that everything was perfect for our needs, would definitely return again.

Fabulous stay

Everything about our stay was so much better then expected. This is a little piece of French paradise within a short walk of the beautiful town and its Markets , bars , shops and restaurants .We had a glorious week enjoying the peace of the villa and the swimming pool.The accommodation is extremely spacious and comfortable with everything you need .The host Yann was available at all times but unobtrusive. We even had free rein to pick cherries from his tree.

Maison très chaleureuse

Tout à fait conforme à ce qui est annoncé. Très propre. Cuisine très bien équipée, chambres spacieuses, literie confortable, grande piscine chauffée, terrain bien aménagée. Le gîte est à 15 minutes à pied du centre de Sarlat, mais on se croirait à la campagne avec une vue dégagée sur les collines environnantes. Vraiment très bien et en prime Yann est un hôte extraordinaire, discret, toujours disponible, il peut vous renseigner sur la région et sur une foule de sujets historiques. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Nice location, short walk from Sarlat centre

We have just arrived home after 2 weeks in Sarlat. Our family comprised 5 adults and 2 children. We all loved the house, especially the swimming pool. We were particularly glad to have it during the first week when temperatures soared above 40 degrees C. The house had everything we needed and was clean and well maintained. We could have done with a change of bedding and towels half way through but there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. Yann, the host, lives next door, so was available if needed, but he was very unobtrusive. The house is in a mostly residential area but has a very large garden and is not overlooked. The house is about 15 mins walk from Sarlat town centre, which we visited several times, both during the day and for evening meals. It has a great vibe, but can get very busy in the height of the tourist season. Plenty of choice for eating and drinking (and ice creams/crepes). We were about 20 mins in the car from Vitrac and Domme, both of which are worth a visit - the first for canoeing on the Dordogne and the second for the beautiful old town and caves. We had a really lovely holiday. I’m sure we will all remember it in years to come as a very happy couple of weeks.

Endroit idéal parce que un peu en dehors de la foule. M. Tourland magnifique. Et comme vous le savez certainement une très belle région ! Amateurs de VTT seront comblés même s"il n'y a que très peu de chemins balisés.

An amazing villa - highly recommended

The villa is absolutely perfect. Its interesting layout means that the already huge living area seems even larger, split over different levels it offers a real sense of real space - perfect for large families or family groups sharing. The garden is enormous and the heated pool fantastic. With two terraces - one overlooking the well-kept pool area with a great view of the surrounding hills and another lower shady one below a wonderful vine - it even gives a choice of outside dining areas. The villa has a real sense of isolation even though owner Yann lives close by. The well chosen furniture suits the beautiful rustic style of the villa (a former farm building) while the beds are super comfortable. Everything is well stocked with ample plates and kitchen pans/utensils (though you might want to bring large pool towels). The proxity (15 mins walk) to arguably the most beautiful town in the Dordogne is amazing and with a large Carrefour only 2 mins drive (5 mins walk) it means the villa is superbly located. Owner Yann is a helpful and considerate host and on hand with any needs you might have. In short perhaps the best villa we have stayed in and would recommend it to anyone looking for a villa with character, comfort and a fantastic location. To be honest the photos do not do it justice.

Fabulous location and outside space

Two mature couples had an amazing time at Les Bruyeres. The location was outstanding with an easy walk into Sarlat and for exploring the Dordogne area. The gite was very spacious and the outside space was beautiful especially the pool and the view. Thank you Yann for a great 2 week holiday we would come again.

A two week stay in Sarlat

This house was an ideal base for two Ozzie couples looking to explore the Dordogne region. It proved to be a great location within walking distance of the centre and provided all the amenities we could have asked for. The owner Yann was very responsive to anything we required to make our stay a memorable one. The property has a great pool and garden.
