The house was great! Very spacious and well-equipped. It is not as close to Aix-en-Provence as I thought it might be--the drive can be slow with traffic. It would be a great place in summer. Unfortunately our week in March was very rainy. I will also note that knowing French is important for communicating with the property manager.

Thank you very much for your feedback! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the house, its space and its equipment, despite the unfortunately very rainy weather during your stay. Travel times can indeed vary depending on traffic, especially around Aix-en-Provence. We also take note of your comment regarding communication with the property manager. We nevertheless hope you keep wonderful memories of your stay and would be very happy to welcome you again, perhaps this time under the beautiful Provençal sunshine The Plaisirs & Maisons de Provence Team

Lovely house a short drive from central AIX en Provence

We stayed in the house for 2 weeks this summer. We are a family of 4 with 2 children aged under 10. We loved our stay. The house is secure and the grounds are larger than the pictures suggest. The pool are is gated, and well maintained. The house is very well catered for children with lots of games available. The house is also well situated with a supermarket 1 mile away and it only being a 10 min drive to central AIX-en-Provence. The check was well communicated and easy. We highly recommend.

Family holiday

Do not worry about the review by Paul from Copenhagen in July 2023. I'm sure that was his experience, but I suspect it was indeed a one off, as ours was very different. The property was very clean throughout, and entirely lived up to the description. We had a great stay there. Our only minor suggestions for improvement would be (a) the directions for finding the property were not clear and could be improved (also, the documents gave multiple addresses) and (b) there were not enough wine glasses!

Spacious farmhouse property in a great location

Lovely, very reasonably priced rural farmhouse property in a stunning setting, with shops nearby in Venelles and also close to Aix. Property very clean with great swimming pool. However, fixtures and bedding, towels etc. are old and shabby and could do with updating. New, clean kitchen cloths, oven gloves etc. rather than the well used/grimy ones left for us would have also helped with the overall impression of the property. Severine the cleaner was great, but an information book on the house and how everything works and also about local facilities would have been useful. Booking/payment system through Vrbo far more complicated than through other accommodation booking websites.

Dirty, dilapidated, downtrodden and misused

Dirty, dilapidated, downtrodden and misused are adjectives that come to mind when we try to describe the house and its overall condition. The location is nice, but the house, furniture and pool needs a deep clean and reconditioning in order to reflect the owner's advertisement. We we arrived the house was nowhere close to be cleaned and everything in the kitchen was filthy and greasy. Used pots and pans had just been put into the cabinet without washing by the previous tennant. The oven was discusting and the refrigerator smelled like rotten fish. We had to wash everything before using it. The terasse door was broken and could not be opened. One bathroom smelled moldy and unhealthy. In general the house's sanitation smelled as if the septic tank had not been emptied for a very long time. The pool had green algy around the waterline and we found cigarette buds around the pool area. All in all, we got a very negative customer experience and even more negative experience when we communicated our concerns to Sabine at the rental management firm. Not a property we can recommend in any way...!

We thank you for taking the time to share your experience and express your concerns. Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our services and provide a pleasant experience for our customers. We completely understand your disappointment regarding the initial condition of the house, and we would like to once again extend our sincere apologies for the inconveniences it may have caused. However, we were able to find a solution with you to address the situation by having the person in charge of cleaning intervene again. Indeed, upon your arrival, the person responsible for cleaning couldn't finish the whole house, as we explained, due to the previous tenants leaving it in a very deplorable state. Our goal is always to offer accommodations in perfect condition, and we are sorry that it was not the case upon your arrival. We are committed to assisting our tenants throughout their stay and addressing their needs. Your feedback motivates us to redouble our efforts in improving our service and ensuring that our future customers have a pleasant and worry-free experience. Once again, we thank you for your feedback, and we hope that you will give us another opportunity to welcome you under optimal conditions during your next stay in Provence. We are determined to regain your trust and provide you with a memorable experience.

Tolles Haus in traumhafter Lage...
