My husband and I rented this home for a three-day getaway with our two sons, their wives, and our newborn grandbaby. It was the perfect setup, offering ample space for all. The guys enjoyed the pool table, and we spent a lot of time hanging out with each other in the main living area (there was also a living room area on the second floor, which was nice). The master suite was spacious and luxurious. Everything was very clean and thoughtfully arranged. We all enjoyed conversation and played games on the beautiful patio area overlooking the canal which connects Lake Leelanau with Lake Michigan. My husband and I spent time in the Adirondack chairs out by the dock watching the ducklings and boats pass by. Picturesque! Both young couples made use of the kayaks. (Sadly, the tires on the bikes were flat and we couldn’t locate a tire pump, but that didn’t stop our fun.) We walked the short distance into the village of Leland a couple different times to check out Fishtown, the shops, eat breakfast at Trish’s Dishes (6 minutes away walking) and lunch and dinner at The Cove (12 minute walk). Both restaurants we highly recommend. Our kids enjoyed coffee and reading books in the outdoor courtyard area of Madcap Coffee, as well. Because this was a vacation for me, too, we ate out and didn’t cook, so we missed out on using the high end Wolf brand range and grill. We love this location in Leland, and a short drive to Sutton’s Bay and Northport. Very happily situated!
