There is new-build construction going on 15 feet from this house--but we got lucky and no one was working while we stayed here. The house is great--super clean, many amenities, great location, built in 2011. (If you want to have sit-down dinners here, you have to rearrange the dining table, but we didn't.)
The parking, though. :( This is by far and away the worst parking we've encountered at a Mission Beach rental. We have a Chevrolet Tahoe, which we considered a "small SUV," which the listing said could fit. And the listing from Blue Water Vacation Homes actually showed a Tahoe in the car port. I have no idea how they got it in there. Our Tahoe could have fit in the parking space, but the turning radius is too big to be able to make the turn into the space. We don't even think our sedan would have been able to make the turn. So, be warned: you can only park a fairly small car at the house, either in the car port or in the garage because of the turn you have to make. We even moved all the trash carts to try to make the turn. There is a public lot across Mission Blvd. which would have cost $400 for our four days, with no in/out privileges.
