Home Away From Home

Reviewer Comments: Overall, we loved the Parlor Flat at the Park House Parlor.The Parlor offered enough space for the three of us, especially with us all being tall people. The location is perfect for doing things locally--we spontaneously walked to many of the coffee shops and eateries. We also were able to walk to the RiverWalk, as that wasn't too far away. Parking was very easy for us. We were able to park right out front without any issues. The two concerns that we had were: 1) the strong smell upon entering the condo the first day. Most likely it is the cleaning supplies that the cleaning crew used. But, it was overpowering and I worried that the smell would be around for the entire time that we stayed there. I just got some air freshener and that solved the issue. The other issue is that main bedroom's mattress. It was not comfortable. It was like a futon-type mattress. It had a great size, but it is not supportive. I highly recommend that the property owner consider getting a different mattress. Other than these two issues that can be fixed, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had the best time listening to a live a band before across the street for a private event. Everyone in the area is friendly and it's a very calm and peaceful square. The home is perfect for 4 people, comfortable, clean, and the natural light from the large windows is gorgeous. Property management company is very responsive and locally managed.

A gem in Savannah!

Can’t beat the location for the parks and great walks. Apartment was perfect. Loved that once inside was on the 1st floor. Everything was wonderful. Wish I had more time to just hang around! I will be back

Perfect for girls weekend

Reviewer Comments: After reviewing hundreds of listings, this apartment was chosen for the excellent location on Monterey Square, at least four comfortable seats in the living room and dining table, two full bathrooms and pretty decor. Street parking availability is not a problem. (A reduced rate dashboard pass is available from the Bryan St Garage). Any questions that we had were answered promptly by Lucky Savannah, even outside of business hours. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

amazing location - perfect for 2 couples

The location is perfect. We have traveled to Savannah several times - the location is ideal. Short walk to river, city market and Forsyth Park. The kitchen is small but we were able to cook dinner one night - make sure you bring all you need to cook. There is NOT any oil or even salt and pepper. Bring your own coffee grounds - only enough for 1 pot was there for us. Communication with the property management company went well. I wish I had not had to reach out - The property is listed as Non-Smoking.....be careful if you are allergic to smoke (like me) - the tenants smoked below us on their deck - so we were not able to use our outside deck area during our entire visit. The router is housed in the unit above us - and we were unable to use our TV on 2 of our 5 nights because the router was unplugged. Both beds were not comfortable - but tolerable. The king mattress is a futon type mattress - the queen mattress is loud and make a squeaking noise when you make any movement. I LOVED and sought out a tub - it is perfect for a long soak.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying at this property - 2 couples, stayed for 4 nights. The location is perfect for walking to Forsyth Park, dinner, and touring the nicer historic areas - far enough away from the overly touristy areas. Parking was never an issue. Purchased visitor day passes from Mobility & Parking Services (at Bryan Street garage) and most of the time were able to park in front of the apartment. The kitchen seemed to have all of the necessary equipment (although we didn't prepare meals while we were there). Only suggestions we have would be to update the curtains / rod / rings (including shower) throughout, as they are rather worn and / or non functioning. Also providing folding luggage racks for each bedroom would be inexpensive, but very useful.

A great location for a walking experience of Savannah

You couldn't ask to be in the middle of it. Park the car and let the walking and exploring begin. This phenomenal centralized location access to the great parks and all the restaurants and activities of Savannah has to offer. This location has very comfortable furniture and all the appliances you need to feel at home.

The setting is perfect, as it is directly across the street from one of Savannah's beautiful little parks. It is a quiet location, but within about two blocks walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. It is decorated in a very modern fashion, which was a nice surprise from most of the traditional interiors do you find in Savannah rentals. Everything was clean and comfortable. The mattress on the master king bed is not as comfortable as I would've liked it to have been – – it is really more like a futon mattress. The back porch has nice seating for two and is open to a small courtyard. We will definitely stay here again!

There was an issue with the fuse causing the washer to work but we figured that out quickly. The house is beautiful and we loved our stay. The only thing I would recommend is a small dresser in the big bedroom and a full-length mirror. We would definitely come back to stay at this rental.

Very nice - Almost a 5

The apartment lived up to our expectations. It is located on Savannah's prettiest square and it's a quick hop over to Forsyth Park. It is well appointed with everything you need to make yourself at home. We were happy to discover closets in both bedrooms (which is not what the description of the property or the property manager reported.) The 2 negatives I find worth pointing out are that first, neither of the beds are very comfortable. My comfort rating (being generous) is 3. New thicker foam mattresses would go a long way! Secondly (less important, maybe trivial) guests are required to take out the garbage at the end of their stay - around the back of the building to an alley. I would expect cleaning staff to do this, not paying guests. I found it a somewhat rude "goodbye". That being said - yes- I would recommend this property provided you're not a finicky a sleeper.

Also the main bed was pretty pathetic. A box spring would help a lot, instead of having a thin mattress on top of the slats. A single cup coffee maker would have been nicer. Overall the stay was good. The proximity to Forsyth park is great and the streets are lovely.

Great Apartment - Great Location

This was an exceptional stay for us. It's nicer than in the pictures. We travel to Savannah each summer and love it every time. This was our favorite trip to date because of the fabulous location. We would definitely stay again.

Nice Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family rented the Garden and Parlor.Overall very nice. Nice location. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchens. Coffee makers are traditional (not k cups). You can hear the neighbors above you but not too bad (could get loud with certain guests I assume). Wi-Fi is a little slow and not great in the back bedroom. Parking on street was fine although be cognizant of street sweeping nights which start at 12:01 AM on the day, and only 2 hour parking sessions allowed M-F 8am-5pm. Stock the kitchen for breakfast if you’re an early riser - most places open at 9am for breakfast weekdays and 8am Fri/Sat. Areas in need of TLC for the management company: windows and patio/deck need a power wash and cleaning of chair cushions. Mirrors need to be windexed. Shower curtain liners should be replaced more regularly- ours were torn or soap-scum/mildew upon arrival, but Monike arrived within the hour to have them replaced (thank you!) Garden: front bedroom has no place to store/ unpack clothes - no dresser, closet or rolling rack so you either live out of the suitcase or use the storage in the back bedroom - a rolling rack would be nice. Parlor: Front bedroom light near bed has no on/off switch - must plug/unplug it. And upon arrival the unit had a bad smell - like cooked food that lingered, but it stayed all week.

Our Stay at the Parlor

We had a nice renting experience. There was a minor cleaning issue. We called the 24/7 call line. They handled the matter quickly. We would definitely rent this property again.
