Location was perfect. The cottage is within 15 minutes of major attractions, grocery stores, etc. 6 minute drive to Red Rock Canyon, 9 minutes to the main entrance of Garden of the Gods. The full size kitchen with all newer appliances was very convenient. The cottage was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was easy to use and maintained a comfortable temperature very well. Ample parking. We stayed for three nights and parked right in front of the cottage in the shade every time.Great value. For the price, this cottage is tough to beat.

Great rental in OCC

Loved Russell's little green cottage in Old Colorado City. We stayed 11 days while visiting the Springs area. Bed was super comfortable; nice soft large towels for bath; kitchen was well-stocked (except for cleaning supplies which he brought us). One window a/c unit in the kitchen + ceiling fans and electric fan were sufficient to keep cool during August heat. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice!

We loved the rental except for the fact that there were no curtains on the front door. It was wkward coming from the bathroom in a towel to the front bedroom after a shower. No privacy from neighbors or pedestrians. Also, having ear plugs available would be helpful for all the dog barking that occurs throughout the night.

Fantastic property in a nice neighborhood

This house was just terrific. The neighborhood is close to downtown and to Highway 25. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with lots of cupboard space, and the yard was perfect for our golden doodle. The internet was super fast. We were glad there was a humidifier in the house as the Colorado air is very dry. The 3 new Heat/AC mini splits were great with cooling and heating. Russell stocked the house with some initial supplies of paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, dish soap and even some laundry soap. Several local restaurants also deliver. If you are bringing a dog, there is a dog-friendly restaurant close by with a mini-dog park, outside eating area and the dogs can even by inside.... the restaurant is called Pup Dog Restaurant. There is a 10-acre dog park close by called Bear Creek Dog park. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect House, Perfect Location, Perfect Stay

We had an exceptional stay at this property. It was clean, check-in was seamless and Russell was super responsive to our questions and any issues we had. The location couldn’t be better and we loved walking our pup in the lovely neighborhood, gazing at the mountains. We were in easy walking distance to Old Colorado City with lots of shops and restaurants and it was an easy, beautiful drive to a multitude of gorgeous hikes. We would definitely stay again!

Great property and location.

Great property and location. Would have been nice if there were a few more hand towels for both kitchen and bath, as well as laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid. I purchased both detergents and left at the property - hopefully the next guests will appreciate.
