Terrific Views

The views were great and fireplace was cozy during a storm that came through. The beds were comfortable. The house is spacious and good for groups. The staff was very hepful, prompt and friendly.This house could benefit from a really good deep clean and have the furniture cleaned thoroughly after every visit. The large rug in the living room is past due for replacement.

Neglected Space in a Lovely Place

The nice thing about this part of Oregon is that very little could ruin it. The rain, wind, and off-season closures didn't dampen our spirits a bit, but the house was a bummer. It seems like this place has been used really hard without much care put back into it. The smell entering the house was creeping all the way downstairs, but we found the root of the smell to be a jar that was upstairs on the kitchen counter. We moved it to the garage with the bad smelling trashcan. We deep cleaned their kitchen for them, moving boardgames back to their cubbiers from the spice section, throwing dangerously broken kitchen tools (like the whisk that was just a series of broken wires poking out from a handle), and trying desperately to sharpen the few knives that were available. The living room coffee table seems to be broken, there was no coffee table in front of the lovely fireplace. I pick VRBO so I can cook big meals for the people I love when I travel. This kitchen was so broken, understocked, and lacking, that I made one breakfast and we got takeout - lovely restaurants in the area though! This house doesn't live up to the rate or the standard that VRBO has set.They're managed by a company called Vacasa that was the only communication we had. Their reviews on Vacasa's website talk about how poorly the home is kept, the bad smell, and the poor finishes. I will research harder before spending this kind of money. We could have just stayed in a hotel - it would have been clean.

Absolutely lovely. Up in a pretty little neighborhood very close to Pacific City. Basically 2 apartments. No complaints. Had everything we needed.

Great layout and view

The view of the ocean and Haystack Rock at this home was amazing and one of our favorite parts of our weekend. We only used one of the upstairs bedrooms but the layout of this home is great if you're vacationing with another couple or kids that want to stay up a little later. The downstairs has its own entrance, living space, and kitchenette so it's ideal if some people in your group want to go to bed earlier to have that extra space. We will definitely rent this house again next time we visit Pacific City.

Gorgeous views and quiet neighborhood

We stayed for a week in February 2024. The house was perfect for our family of four and my parents. The view is beautiful and the new construction next door only partially blocks and it didn't bother us at all. Use of the garage was really nice as we used it to keep our drift boat out of the weather at night. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house and view - needs thorough cleaning though.

The house itself if great, we liked the layout and the view is amazing. Them master bedroom had a tv and a Roku remote, but no Roku device connected to it, so bring DVDs if you like to watch something in bed.The house was not very clean, it feels like a quick walk through was all that was done. The downstairs bed actually had sand in the sheets, we hope the sheets were actually washed. There was still laundry in the dryer too.The rugs need to be replaced or just removed. They are very stained and drove our dog crazy with all the smells in them. We actually rolled up the big living room one and put it in the garage during our stay. One of the cabinets in the bathroom near the kitchen smelled horendous. I'm not sure why we didn't see anything in there that should be causing such a smell. A bunch of lights were out throughout the house. If it was just cleaner we would have rated this a 5.

Amazing view but lacking in many areas

The home has an incredible view of Haystack Rock and the ocean and is just a short drive to the beach. The neighborhood is very nice and peaceful and the home us large and spacious. The photos on the site, however, are not very updated as the home has wear and tear. The cleanliness was lacking as the doors and walls were grimey and dirty and the area rugs were heavily soiled and stained with pet waste. The kitchen utensils and supplies were not great and many need to be updated. Overall, for the size and view you can't go wrong, but it is not as clean and updated as the photos suggest.

Lots of space for 3 couples

Unfortunately there is a tall house currently under construction which is taking away some of the beautiful view of the Pacific. There are still great views to watch the sunset and enjoy the ocean around the new construction. The house is great but definitely needs some TLC. There are two bedrooms upstairs and the bottom is like a separate apartment with own living area and own bathroom and bedroom. Was not close to the beach but easy drive to beach and town. Spent time on the large deck enjoying the sunshine.

Great location

Spacious home with plenty of room. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms clean. A short ride or a strenuous walk from town. Very good views towards the sea but these are now horribly compromised by the building construction next door, which is bang in the middle of the view and despite being further down the slope is actually higher than this property - you really wonder how they got permission for that! Steps to the main living area mean that it is not very accessible for people with reduced mobility. Basic cups, glasses, plates etc. could be much improved.

Nice place, great view....

The property was nice, fairly clean (with Covid we had planned on wiping everything down). The couple negative I have are the washing machine was broke (found out mid cycle), 1 dining room chair was broke, and there is no BBQ! The wrap around porch on both levels was very nice and the wildlife in the area is abundant. We saw black tail deer (doe's and bucks) everyday as well as bunnies. And the parking was great, lots of room to park. Overall, it was a nice experience with a nearly unbeatable view of Haystack rock and within a few minutes of the beach.

Beautiful

We had a great stay for 3 days. It was beautiful. The location was good for us since we really enjoy long walks together as a family. One day we walked all the way to the beach and then to the store and back. I'm sure we met our 10,000 steps for the day. The unit was equipped, but strangely though, nothing there but salt, pepper and baking soda. The way it was decorated was really outstanding. You could tell the owners bent over backwards to put cute ocean themed decor everywhere. We drove to Tillamook and Neahkahnie Viewpoint then to Lincoln City. We cooked salmon and chicken and just had a great family trip. Thanks so much!

Amazing Views

This home was not as clean as we had expected especially in these challenging times. Management not as responsive as hoped and exterior of property in general could use a bit of sprucing up. Communication could definitely be improved.

View has changed!

Our first disappointment came when we first drove up...the view from the house has changed because there is a new house being built right next to this house and it now blocks some of the view that is shown in the listing pictures. If that was the only problem then we would have simply rated this house lower and left it at that, but we picked this location for the view to enjoy at the house and to have some quiet from noise and people. Our second and bigger disappointment came that each day we were there there was construction work starting very early in the morning (7:30 am most days) and lasting until dinnertime. The construction noise was loud and the construction was eye level with the upper deck, so the construction workers were literally just a few yards from the house. They could look into the windows because there were no coverings on some of them (in the past there wouldn’t have been a need because no one would be able to see in, but now with a house so close and level to the home they need to add window coverings everywhere). The house has signs inside that says there is no AC and to open the windows to let in the natural AC, but by opening the windows we had to hear the hammering and music of the construction workers. We had to get away from the home in order to relax. The house became a source of stress for us, instead of a place to relax. The problem with this whole situation is the management did not inform us of this construction before we arrived. The construction has obviously been going on for a few weeks. This was our first stay in a Vacasa home and it may be our last. They offered us a very small refund for the noise (which we feel was not sufficient for the experience). The local management does not seem to care about the inconvenience this caused (no follow ups). Would I say not to rent this house? No, not if there wasn’t construction and the listing pictures are updated to accurately show the new view with the new construction. What I would say is that the local management needs to make some changes and take a little bit more care with their handling of construction next to their vacation homes. I am hoping this will help inform other guests to know what to expect, since management doesn’t seem to want to take the time to inform people prior to their arrival.

Amazing

The home is almost as beautiful as the views from almost every window. The furniture is gorgeous and actually comfortable! My family and I enjoyed the board game selection as well (Espexially the “life of a redneck” one) We will most certainly be back to soak in the beauty that is Sea 4 Miles.

Breathtaking ocean views!

Very nice house with a big deck and a great open layout. Off tsunami zone. Many dear around which made it a highlight for the kids. Very helpful LOM and customer service! Highly recommended.

Needs new mattresses

This property would be a good stay if they had better mattresses. We all found them to be uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well there. Otherwise the kitchen had enough cooking supplies. They provided starter spices which was nice. The location is good and it had a nice view. The property was clean, but the downstairs garage smelled bad. We stored our bikes in there, but otherwise weren’t in there. If I had to guess, I think their washing machine needs to be cleaned. It had a musty sort of smell.
