Friends winter getaway

Great location. Layout of house is awesome. Nice sitting area both upstairs and a small one downstairs. Only suggestion is there are only 6 chairs for the dining table and a few stools but if everyone wants to play a game, it's not comfortable for all

Great location

Loved the location of the home, great ocean views on a quiet street. Large and spacious, perfect for 8 couples and a dog. House could have been cleaned better. You can definately tell it is “pet friendly”.

Exceptional Property

House was very well equipped with soaps, shampoos, paper towels, toilet paper, dish washer tablets, and towels. Really appreciate these little details. Great internet and TVs. Huge house well suited for large families.

as always best place ever

we have come to this town for 40 years. we have stayed in many places but this is by far the best . Quiet area but not far from the cape . beautiful view of ocean rain or shine

Great for a family reunion

We stayed with our adult children and their partners. The set up of the house was perfect for a multi-generational family, especially with the extra downstairs sitting area and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The view is definitely better than the photos. The only downside for us was that there's actually kind of a cliff between you and beach. The dune west of the house is quite steep with a 15 foot drop so you really have to walk or drive about .4 mile along the road to the beach access either to the north or south. It wasn't a problem for us but was a surprise.

Great place to stay

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views from the top floor. Does have a bath to the sand cliffs of the beach, but you need to walk done a paved road ~1/2 a mile to get to the actual beach entrance. Generally clean and as advertised.

Marvelous Beach House

Spectacular view. Ideal location. Perfect size for our needs. Impressive sandy backyard abruptly drops (possibly, 20-30 feet?) to the ocean shore. Beach access is "easy" up or down the road a quarter mile. Walking distance to horse stables and boat launch. Lovely town.

Wonderful Beach Trip

This house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were all clean, and there was plenty of space for our children to play. The beach front view is wonderful and it is such a short walk to get down to the sand. Our family had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Unbeatable location and great view

Great location - a quick walk to beach. Huge picture windows with incredible views and lots of space for 2 families of 4. The property is dated but I didn’t mind. Carpet in the basement needs to be replaced. Other than that, it was well stocked in the kitchen (except it needs more dish towels) with a huge cozy area in the living room to sit and chat or read books. Beds were comfortable. Oh, if you do come make sure to bring your own lawn chairs for sitting on the beach. They didn’t have any.

lots of space

4 ladies on a girls trip. We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. Good layout. The house could use some chairs for the deck in order to enjoy the view. Walkable to restaurants and a quick walk down to the water.

4th of July at the Coast with family

The house arrangement was ideal for our family with the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. All rooms in the house are large and everyone had plenty of room.

Lovely views

Unfortunately Covid kept my husband and I from staying here however our 5 friends did. After a minor snafu with lock, requiring a conversation with vRBO which resolved issue, the stay went well. It was reported that the dishwasher filter should be cleaned and machine bolted in. One bath faucet was leaking and windows wouldn’t open. Otherwise comfortable beds, ample room, nice kitchen , good lighting and beautiful views. Would stay again.

Know what to expect

House is BIG and location is great. Previous reviews gave us some indication of what to bring. House has deferred maintenance ,freezer and dishwasher are falling apart. Had a coffee maker with no filters, barbecue with no lighter and limited kitchen supplies outside plates pots and pans. Could definitely be cleaner especially windows. We would rent again but would come more prepared.

Beautiful location; home horribly maintained

It’s a beautiful spot, and a gorgeous location. However, the home is not maintained well. There were many scrapes on the wall. Places where holes had been filled but not painted. And, most unfortunately, the toilet and sink were totally plugged when we arrived. My father tried to unplug the sink and spewed years of gunk out, and still remained plugged. I’m very disappointed in my experience, especially for the price tag. If I were you, I’d think twice about booking this home.

Great location. Spacious house,

The floor plan of this house was roomy and practical for accommodating us and our adult children and a couple of grandchildren. The downstairs worked well for grandkids to sleep in a quiet location away from the hubbub of activities going on upstairs. The view from the deck was more expanded than the website pictures show. It's a great ocean view and an easy walk to a lovely beach. This house is only a couple blocks away from a peaceful river. It would have been fun to put our kayak in at the park there. The drawbacks to this home would be that the window treatments didn't all work properly and didn't keep the rooms upstairs very dark in the morning light. Also, the windows were crusted shut from beach air, which mattered for airflow as we were there on an unusually warm weekend. It likely wouldn't have been a problem on a cooler weekend. Overall, we enjoyed this house and would stay there again.
