Fun place

This is an old-fashioned Victorian era building, with creaky narrow plank wood floors and an old-style kitchen and bath. The great news is that it has been tastefully updated to make it quite livable. The electrical sockets - normally always an issue in old houses -- have been nicely supplemented to allow for modern device hookups. And it is very clean and well cared for. It is also just up the hill a ways from the Prom, which makes for great strolling.

Spring break trip

Gorgeous, cozy VRBO stocked with everything we needed. Hosts were so kind and accommodating. One of the best rental home experiences I’ve had. Definitely recommend!

Rendezvous in Pirtland

Old friends (in age and longevity of relationships) met up in Portland for a weekend getaway. Great location. Great city. Enjoyed our time exploring the city culture and restaurants within easy reach but also spent long hours in the bright living room catching up over a pit of tea.

Beautifully appointed apartment

This rental is adorable with so many thoughtful touches from the host. From the personalized card and snacks to the labels explaining most everything you'd like to know about the space, everything has been considered. A great base from which to explore a fun town.

Eastern Promenade

Very cozy apartment and super convenient to Munjoy Hill. Walking distance to great dining options and a great coffee shop with Double Great. It was perfect and had everything we needed.

Girls Holiday Overnight

We had a wonderful night in Portland! We spent the afternoon shopping in Freeport and arrived at the apartment around 5. Very easy finding parking on the street and no trouble getting inside. The apartment is absolutely adorable! Between the colors and decorations, it just gives off this girly, cozy vibe. There were 4 of us and we all had room to sleep comfortably. Wish we could have stayed another night!

Spacious place, great location

Nice and spacious 2 bedroom unit steps from the promenade. Jennifer was very helpful and accommodating. Easy check in and plenty of parking. Amazing central location.

Lovely Stay!

This is near the beautiful Eastern Promenade and a short walk to restaurants and shops and the historic downtown Portland area. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the area so much!

Road trip

It was just perfect! Location was great. Walking distance to town, and the ocean. Pickle ball courts a block away. Great breweries and restaurants that were within blocks. House was clean, bright & quiet .

Quiet neighborhood in a wonderful location

We were only in Portland for one night, but it was the perfect place to stay near the water and beautiful park. We walked to breakfast then walked along the park by the water. It was beautiful. The place was charming and decorated beautifully.

Charming with great location

We spent 1 night here before heading to Bar Harbor. It was easy to find, good instructions for getting inside and the amenities were nice. It has an older home charm and we felt very comfortable. The location was close to stores, restaurants and downtown. I would stay there again.downtown.restaurantsand

Charming escape

A group of 3 girls stayed at this charming apartment for 3 nights. We were able to walk to everything in downtown Portland using the promenade walkway which was very safe even after dark. Jennifer was a great host, even providing K cups for the Keurig. Allagash Brewery is 15 mins away by car and worth the visit. There are two other breweries at the same location as Allagash.

Lovely Stay!

Host was extremely reachable and contacted us to make sure our vacation is going well. She even installed extra window AC units just to make sure we were cool in the heat of the summer of July! Unit is very convenient to food trucks, kid parks, and the waterfront for a lovely stroll or run! There are people living upstairs but not a bother. The basement has a washer and dryer for use. The neighborhood is quaint but lovely and charming. If you like to be self sufficient but close to good restaurants, parks, and the water, this is the place to be. Finding parking when going out in Portland can be challenging.

Quiet heritage home near the promenade

Here is the corrected version of your text: --- We enjoyed our stay near the Eastern Promenade. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a 5-minute car ride from downtown. The apartment was spacious enough for all four of us—three adults and one child—to have our own bed. The sofa bed was comfortable, with an extra foam mattress topper. The queen bed was not as comfortable due to the edges being rounded. There was everything needed for making meals, and a large dining table for four people. The very small bathroom is older, as this is a heritage home, but it was very manageable. The space was very very clean. I enjoyed that the space did not smell of perfumey cleaners, as I react easily to strong scents. That said, there is a noticeable old house smell upon entering. Jennifer our host was attentive to our needs and quick to reply when we needed anything. There was ample parking. I recommend using Uber for going downtown, as parking is very expensive in Portland.

GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD

The best thing about this place was the lovely, quiet neighborhood. We love to walk so the fact that there was only a small bit of infrastructure immediately nearby (a market, a couple of restaurants, a park with a lovely overlook, the bay--what more do you need?) worked perfectly for us. We preferred not being right in the downtown. The layout is a little funky; I couldn't figure out where the original bones of the 1900 (I think) building were, but there may have been a door or two moved when it was made into apartments? Not sure, but I never got used to the bathroom being off the dining room and not the bedroom. Still, absent the weak coffee (dark roast drinkers) and always turning the wrong way out of the bedroom, we enjoyed the building, and the communication with the owners. Also, the access in and out of the building and the apartment was seamless. A great system. Thank you!

A great way to experience Portland

We very much enjoyed our stay! Our only regret was that we couldn’t have stayed longer. Jennifer was such a sweet host who went above and beyond to help make our visit special. Portland Apartment

Very clean area of downtown Portland. Close to port, many restaurants, many light houses, grocery stores, shopping. Spacious apartment with well stocked kitchen. Loved the ambiance of the area and homes. Would definitely go back!

Plus, I love being able to walk to brunch and to the market! I desperately missed those outings, living in the car-centered culture of Los Angeles.
