Loved our stay here! House could use some updating but had everything we needed. Great location that was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Loved using the golf cart to get around. The community pool was great and we used it every day!

Great Stay!!

Great property and super close to the pool and a 10 minute walk to the beach! Really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, etc, that were left in the garage because that helped a lot. A lot of outdoor seating was nice to relax outside. Spacious rooms, large kitchen and dining area. Loved our stay!!

Spring break

Very nice place. Great location. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishes and utensils. Plenty of room for family to lounge. The only thing I would say is couch needs a good scrubbing.

Technically everything was fine. I felt the post was misleading that the rental rate did not include the golf cart. I had to pay an extra fee for the VRBO site. There were broken window shades throughout the house. There were cracked floor tiles. The kitchen was not completely clean. The overall appearance was "tired" and needed to be updated and freshened up. There were plenty of beach toys and chairs, but no bikes. I probably would not stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful!

Very clean and comfortable house. Plenty of room for our family of 6 including 3 children under 6. The golf cart makes the stay! It’s so convenient to just ride it the less than half mile to the beach and to the neighborhood pool.

Great home and community

Really enjoyed staying in this home. Upon arriving the downstairs AC wasn’t working. But real joy was good about getting it fixed as quickly as possible. Nice community pool, and having the golf cart was great!

Family Vaca 2023

Check In was easy process...9-4 and then stayed and checked out 9-8. Enjoyed the Destin area, the beaches and the home. Compfy beds. Well equipped and other then the stains on furniture and stools at the bar area, Nicely kept home. Close to nice seafood restaurants as well. Didn't use the Gulf cart this trip. Thought it was just the $500 refundable deposit. We're unaware of the $50 per day use. Didn't have that extra in our budget this time around. Perhaps next time we stay with Real Joy as well.

Dirty with bugs

Floors so dirty would make feet turn black if barefoot. Bugs galore in the house...Golf cart was from the 1970's I do not recommended staying at this property or Real Joy listings.

Great house and location!

House was beautiful as was the lawn and outt tree door area, location was perfect, beds were comfortable, plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The negatives, and I hate being negative. The listing title we found to be misleading, we only found out through happenstance that the golf cart was an additional fee, not a huge deal but could be for some. House needs to be exterminated. There were TONS of what we refer to as fruit flys and or drain nats. So much so when we were preparing breakfast we had one literally fly into our pan of eggs. Property manager did send someone the day we notified them, but to get only poured bleach down the drains and that didn’t get rid of them. Im not a person to complain about a bug crawling here or there in a vacation rental, it happens, BUT, when they are flying in to your food as you cook it’s an issue. With the amount we paid for the home I feel as if this should have never been an issue. We don’t leave dirty dishes in sink, or food out on counters. There wasn’t any good reason or excuse this should have been an issue. There were TONS of house/property rules that went along with this rental (including they expected us to take the trash out Friday morning when we didn’t arrive until late Thursday night (even sent a reminder text) which I found a bit much. I feel like if they are going to have that high of demands for their tenants it should be reciprocated, and the tenant should expect to not have to deal with bugs.

We had a great stay at this home in Destin! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. It’s located in a great neighborhood, which made it even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was excellent—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet neighborhood with good access to public beach

Our family (4 adults, one 2 year old) enjoyed the proximity to everything and the provided golf cart was essential for access to the public beach. Lots of provided beach toys and a lovely back yard were essential for family play time. The kitchen supplies (broken pans, lacking cookie sheets and dull knives) were a disappointment for the cooks in our family. The carpets and furniture were stained.

Good use a little updating....

We really enjoyed our stay. But we have stayed in 3 other properties within Destiny East over the past many years. This one could use some either deep cleaning or updating of the living room furniture and the outdoor dining set. They're stained and worn. The kitchen could use a cork screw. Other than that, it's a great house in a really great location! The listing could be updated to show that there are MANY beach toys and chairs/shelters/ coolers at the house. These were much appreciated! But had we known, we would not have traveled with so many of our own. Overall I would call this a 4 out of 5 star house being managed professionally by a 5 star company! We certainly hope to use Real Joy again. Enjoy your trip!

Beautiful vrbr

Loved this beautiful place . Even though there was a lot of going up and down stairs. We did have a problem with the roof leaking from the jacuzzi. We called and a workman came within an hour and checked it out

Destin Bonaire Retreat

Bonaire Retreat is a beautiful property in a great location. Easy access to the beach walking or using the golf cart that's included. The house was perfect for a family of four. Loved the open concept downstairs. Kitchen had everything necessary for cooking. Spent a lot of time at the basketball/tennis courts and walking the neighborhood. When I called about questions, etc. they were very receptive and helpful. Check in and check out was easy. Would recommend staying here and would stay here again.

Great community-house needs work

We absolutely love a destiny East! We loved having the golf cart to Get us to and from the beach! The house was pretty nice although it needs some work. The fridge was in poor condition; it didn’t keep the food very cold, the freezer door kept opening on its own and the ice machine in it didn’t work. There was not a lot of seating in the living room. The couches were not comfortable and the legs of the Footstool were broken and loose when we arrived. The internal doors didn’t shut very well and some of them didn’t lock. There was a plank missing from the top bunk bed and felt unsteady in the bunk room. It was very difficult to open and close the blinds. The grill was filthy and it took awhile to clean before we could use it.
