I spent a full week at Aleyda and Brian’s place—and I’m so glad I did. The beach is just a short walk away, about four houses down a quiet street. It’s part of a turtle sanctuary, so there are no high-rises and hardly any people, especially on weekdays. It felt peaceful and unspoiled, with a lifeguard on duty and plenty of space to enjoy the water and sand without crowds. The apartment was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The kitchen is efficient and well stocked, and I really appreciated arriving to a fridge filled with drinks and fruit, plus a full snack basket. The living room has original artwork, which gave the space a warm, personal touch. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept well every night. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with shampoo, soap, and everything I needed. One of my favorite parts was the outdoor space. The patio and courtyard are full of tropical plants, many of them blooming, and it felt like a hidden garden. I especially loved the tiki hut—perfect for drinking my morning coffee. One day it rained, and I stayed dry under the hut, just listening to the birds. So peaceful.Aleyda and Brian were wonderful hosts—kind, patient, and welcoming. My week there was restful and just what I needed. I’m already looking forward to returning.
