Family Fun in Folly Beach

Beautiful property! All bed rooms were spacious with en-suites which worked out perfect for our family! Very accommodating kitchen and living space. First and second level porches provided beautiful views. Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Great Spot!

Comfortable home with plenty of room for 8 adults. Outdoor porches facing ocean are fantastic, and it’s where we spent most of our time when at the house. Really enjoyed the steam shower after chilly swims in the ocean. Super easy beach access a short walk away.

Gorgeous house with amazing view!

This house could not have been more perfect!! The double porches facing the ocean were the best part. Our dogs loved laying outside in the sun. Super clean and all of the amenities. We will be back!!!

Best Holiday Ever!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Elegant Escapes was for our New Year’s trip. The home was simply beautiful, even more so than in the pictures! The porches were incredible, so much space both to gather as well as to allow privacy. The views of the ocean from the porch was my favorite part-I enjoyed a peaceful cup of coffee watching the sunrise every morning. Luxury Simplified provided great communication and response to all of our needs. We will definitely return!!

Fabulous Property

This home was large and comfortable for our family vacation. The only complaint was the home was being redecorated which meant no pictures(hooks remained) on many walls, no tissues, the worst quality toilet paper ever, no Guest book. I could go on but overall house was lovely. Little things.......

Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was great for everyone to have their own room with a bathroom. The porches outside the rooms were wonderful. The porch off the main living space provided a lovely place to sit and enjoy the ocean view. We liked walking the neighborhood and seeing all the different styled houses. The elevated was great when loading and unloading the car. This house provided a jumping off point for our visits into Charleston, but gave us a great break from being in the city at the end of the day. We would highly recommend this house if you plan on visiting Charleston.

Awesome!! House. Great location and views of the ocean. Beach access just across the street. Three beautiful porch’s to sit on and watch the sunrise. Only suggestions I would make is 1. Upgrade speed of internet, horribly slow 2. Have a tv in the den area

A wonderful Thanksgiving vacation!

I love the historical charm of Charleston and the relaxing, cozy charm of folly Beach. We chose to return to Elegant Escape. It is in a perfect location with ocean front views for all to enjoy. The main gathering room is spacious and seating accommodates many people comfortably. Each bedroom has an en-suite restroom, and the 2 screened porches stretch the length of the home for all to relax and talk or read. My one recommendation is the home needs some loving touches to maintain its magnificence. The kitchen needs some cabinet repair , the interior paint retouches could improve, the exterior steps and trim need some attention and the towels and linen should be upgraded. These are minor details to keep this rental an excellent vacation escape We had a great Thanksgiving getaway here

Hurricane Ian leads to Plan B

The rental and check in process was very easy and straightforward. There were minor repairs and upkeep that could have been a challenge but the agency representatives worked with us to address our needs. The house has easy access to the beach and a great view of the ocean from the deck, where we enjoyed many dolphin sightings. We didn’t get our Pawleys Island week as planned due to Ian, but this house on Folly Beach was a great find for our group of 7.

Parents' 60th Anniversary Trip

My brothers and I, along with our spouses took our parents to Charleston for a 60th anniversary celebration for them. We booked the house a year in advance, then 4 months before the trip our dad fell and broke his hip. We were delighted to find out there was an elevator option for him. We could not have stayed there without this option! The house was beautiful and perfect for our family. All 4 bedrooms had an ocean view with its own access to a balcony and its own bathroom. The property management was great to work with and very responsive. We couldn't recommend this property more!

An Excellent Intro to Folly Beach!

We were looking for a house near the beach that allowed our dogs. This property at 808 E. Arctic was perfect for that and so much more! The overall space in each room was very large so we never felt on top of each other. There were 8 adults and 2 dogs. Two of our adults are seniors and therefore the elevator was KEY! Our 88-year-old pop doesn't walk so well, so it was awesome and well worth the modest extra fee. The town was so much fun - so many kitschy/cool bars and restaurants; we had a blast. The beaches are super clean and comfortable in proximity to this house (walked the dogs there every morning - they loved it! We may need to build them a sandbox!) We also made the 25-minute drive to Charleston three times for fun extracurricular activities loved by all! What a great town. The people here are very nice. We also found the management of this property (LSR) to be very responsive, nice, and prompt. They made renting this very easy. My only two "negatives" were that the baseboards and edges of the doors were quite dirty, and the dryer was broken (although again, LSR to the rescue offering laundry services!), it just made it inconvenient, that's not much of a bummer anyway (who does laundry on vacation?) We will return to Folly Beach soon!!

In Need of a Renovation

The house itself is set up well for a mid size to larger family. The master suite was large which was helpful for fitting our infant in her crib + all of our luggage. There were no hangers provided or much drawer space for our clothes. Every single bathroom needs a serious renovation and while the cleaning crew did great to clean the spaces, the bathrooms are so old that they felt dirty even when clean. The master shower is scary, dark and cramped and the tile is really old. The bathroom itself needs a paint job - there was clearly holes that were filled in the walls all over the place. The living room is large and spacious with nice new couches (at least couch covers!) The ceiling in the dining / kitchen area had a huge hole from what appeared to be a leak. The kitchen was also older but fine.... except for the ants. There were ants ALL over. Our house has had an ant problem at home so i get it, but it was annoying they were constantly around even after thorough cleaning. The balconies are spacious with great views but unfortunately most of the house and outdoor space was covered in dog hair so we couldn't sit on it with our infant daughter. I would not stay here again and likely would have left if it wasnt for the views.

We had our family for our first vacation together since our daughters married and had a new grandson. The house was much larger than the online pictures show and it was absolutely perfect for our seven adults and one baby. We loved it!!

The PERFECT Beach House!

We rented this house for a week leading up to our daughters wedding at The Island House. We invited two other couples and a single to stay with us. We had abundant space throughout. Everyone had their own bathroom which was great too. We especially loved the large living area as well as both outdoor porches!! We spent the majority of our time on the top floor porch. We loved this house and would definitely rent again. Upon arrival, the air on one level wasn’t cooling. We called the property manager and they had someone there immediately to repair. Originally we opted not to pay the additional $100 to use the elevator but after our arrival and unpacking we realized that everything was going to the top floor. We called to add the use of the elevator but never received any follow up. As we are all 60+, it would have been very helpful in moving in and out!

Wonderful Family Beach House

The house was in a perfect location with ocean views as you sit on a wonderful covered porch. The home was lovely with wonderful bedroom ensuites, comfortable beds and French doors leading to the porches. My family had a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering . I elevated to the property management one issue which is why the cleanliness is not rated a 5. They were very receptive and promised to follow up and correct.

Thanksgiving

The house was in a wonderful location with beautiful views of the ocean. We enjoyed seeing the sunrises and sunsets from the porch. It was nice to have bathrooms for each bedroom. The reason we rated it a four is because on the day of the arrival we were told the dishwasher was broken and they would not be able to replace it until after we were gone. Be aware that the wifi is very slow. The contact person was excellent and always addressed our needs very promptly. She did everything she could to help. We had a great time at Thanksgiving.
