Close to everything - Drift Away is on the lake, only a 6 minute drive to the top of WISP, and a 10 minute drive to Shop 'n Save and all the other shopping, restaurants and fun centers in McHenry. In 10 minutes by boat or 15 minutes by car, you can get to the Honi Honi Bar and many other great restaurants. Drift Away has everything - indoor pool, hot tub, game room, spacious deck with gazebo, surround sound TV, large yard, fire pit, dock for boat tie-up, fishing and deep clean water swimming. Very flat lot, directly on the lake, beautiful lake views from the dock, yard, deck and most rooms.

Beautiful, spacious rental. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group. The indoor pool was a plus for the kids, while the adults enjoyed the hot tub! Great location, wonderful view of the lake. Our host was very attentive and made sure our stay went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. We traveled as 4 families for our annual trip and this house could not have been better. Rooms were all clean with functional bathrooms! The indoor pool was a an excellent touch. Fishing on the dock was slow, but I'm sure that the weather had something to do with it. Using the kayak to go further out may be a better set up. We will not hesitate to visit again for another trip.

We had a great time! The house was in a quiet area and very spacious. Was great for the kids with the pool (very safe with loud alarm for those concerned) right off the kitchen and downstairs play area. Adults loved the hot tub and updated bathrooms. We will likely rent again!

The home was better than the pictures even portray, the pool door alarm with littles made me feel so safe, the amenities were top notch and the newly redone bathrooms were gorgeous! We got snow and ice during our stay and the host was easy to contact and more than helpful with information and got us plowed out quickly! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Home was a great layout for our family. Lots of space for gathering. Hot tub, pool, kayaks, billiard's and shuffleboard provided lots of activities. Kitchen is well equipped. Home was clean; modern bathrooms were very nice. Deck furniture was in good condition and plentiful. Owner was responsive to my communications. I would consider staying in this home again, should our family vacation bring up back to the area.

Our family of 11 adults had a wonderful stay at Drift Away. The 7 bedrooms and 7 full bathrooms afforded everyone the privacy they needed. We also found the amenities convenient and enjoyable, such as the dock, kayaks, canoe, stand up paddle boards, pool, hot tub, and fire pit. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again!

Great location, lots of room

My entire family loved our stay at 'Drift Away'. Several family members commented on how this was a nice house at a perfect location. Our host was very responsive with any questions or issues. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing lakefront property! We stayed as a group of three families and had more than enough space for everyone. The pool, hot tub, and private dock were perfect, and we loved having so many amenities right at the house — kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and more. This house was breathtaking! The view to the lake, through all the trees was beautiful! My family and I very much enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, very comfortable, had everything as stated in the guide. Check in and out was simple. If you are looking for private, this is it! This house had everything. The indoor pool was fun, the jacuzzi was perfect. This was my first time to the area, and it was great. I'm already looking to book again for the winter in this house to take in new views and activitives. We mostly spent our days lounging on the huge deck and taking in the nature scenery. It's tucked away, but close to restaurants and activities. I would and plan on staying again!

There's lots of room and plenty of things to do on the property. It's at the end of the road with very little traffic that makes it even quieter.

We had 17 people in our group. We chose this house to accommodate our group for a family reunion. This house could not have been any better. The house is very spacious and had a great kitchen and plenty of seating. We loved that everyone had their own bathroom. Ken was wonderful to communicate with. I was able to get all my questions answered very quickly and he was fabulous to give us information upfront so we knew what to do for check in procedures and checkout. Thank you so much for sharing this house our family had an amazing time.

The amenities suited all of our family's needs and more. We felt right at home. It's roomy, laid out well, and there seemed to be something for everyone, no matter the age. I doubt that we will find another place so well-suited for our entire family--14 and one on the way, ages 2-73. This was a vacation filled with life-time memories!

The house is awesome, love the layout, the deck, games and outdoor spaces. House is showing wear and tear but to be expected. We had 16 men all over 30 in the house and left it very clean according to the host but his communication after the fact was rude and excessive. Wouldnt rent from this person again.

Prior to this, 27 out of 27 renters have left 10/10, 5-star reviews. My "excessive" communication with this renter pertained to damages and additional maintenance caused by his group, and things they left behind which I mailed to him. Prior renters praise and are thankful for my communication; they don't call it "rude".
