We absolutely loved the house and location! However, we had some minor issues we called about on Sunday and never heard back/received assistance. And then Tuesday the hot tub turned green (it had never seemed super clean to begin with) and after calling in and having another maintenance ticket made, we waited again for 2 days before finally walking personally into the main office to talk to someone. They still had yet to get someone out and said the pool maintenance people were already “testy” and and it would probably be Friday before someone could come out. They recommended we drain the hot tub ourselves and fill it up with hose water if we really wanted to use it that badly. Accused us of overusage and having kids pee in it which was 100% not the case. We fixed it ourselves (draining, cleaning, refilling and priming) Thursday evening so we could be sure to use it Friday on our last day… An apology for letting these issues fall through the cracks and a $150 refund for the “value” of the hot tub for the week was our recompense. It was a very frustrating experience and I have never had to deal with such lack of assistance in our obx stays before. We specifically get houses with hot tubs for a reason and to feel so blatantly disregarded was infuriating. We had sheets with blood on them, a broken coffee pot, and doors that wouldn’t open. Just seems like things that should never go unnoticed in such a wonderful house. Maybe if the vendors and maintenance are too testy to do their jobs another vendor would be happy to step in with quality care…
