It’s a cool old house but there are a lot of little things that stood out. Maybe I’m just too picky. There were loose broken handles on things. The claw foot tub was really cool but the handles were broke and we couldn’t get the water in the tub hotter than luke warm. The place needs a lot of repairs. There were cleaning appliances laying around the pool, bags of mulch in the flower beds. Maybe this sounds nitpicky but if you are gonna pay a premium price for something details matter.

We rented this house for a long weekend in July for a family gathering. It was very spacious and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the pool, large back deck and fishing in the lake. Sam was a great host and went out of his way to make sure our stay was wonderful

Our family of 10 recently stayed at Sam’s beautiful lakehouse, and it was the perfect setting for our getaway. Sam was incredibly kind and hospitable, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and genuinely wanting our stay to be special.The house itself was spacious and well-suited for a large group like ours, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enough bathrooms to keep things running smoothly. It’s an older, grand lakehouse with so much charm and character. It brought back memories of our own family’s former lake home, making the experience all the more meaningful.We spent time on the water, cooked big family meals, and simply enjoyed being together. The home gave us that peaceful, "away-from-it-all" feeling, yet we were just a short drive from great restaurants, grocery stores, and unique little shops.We truly appreciated all the effort that goes into maintaining a large home like this, and we felt very lucky to be able to enjoy it. Thank you, Sam, for sharing your lovely lakehouse with us—it was the perfect place for us to relax, reconnect, and make new memories.

Good Thanksgiving weekend at the lake.

This home is completely run down. It may have been luxury 30 years ago but has not been updated or repaired since. I would avoid this house at all costs.

Getaway

The house was certainly vintage but yet beautifully preserved over the many years. A/C worked well. The house was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. My family and friends were able to take great pictures in the back yard which overlooked the lake. We maintained great communication with the owner. He was very accommodating . He allowed us to do late check out. My party was pleased with our stay.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time. The house does need some upkeep, some light fixtures are loose and a little water damage in the dining room. Some of the boards on the walkway and deck broke and my son got hurt and they were out the next day to replace them.

We had plenty of room for all of us. We especially enjoyed the downstairs patio. It rained some of the time while we were there but we were able to go out and be mostly shielded from the rain. There are several areas of the house that need some work. Particularly the primary bathroom. One of the sinks didn't work and there are cracks in the floor, in front of the toilet and shower, that really should be checked out. However, it was perfect for a bunch of guys on a golf trip. Thank you and I hope to see you again next year!

Annual Guys Weekend

Property was perfect in size and location. The house is older and needs some updating, but the pool and lake access were a perfect spot to relax with friends. Sam is a very friendly property manager and responsive to calls (recommend calls over texting). Will definitely be back again.

This property was our family home while the children were growing up now as they all are off to school it is way to big and is such a wonderful property that we built a second Greenwood lake House and our goal is to make this a place your family and children will always remember the week they stayed in the Greenwood Lake House the house was updated in December 2024 and it's came out real real nice
