Villa Romanee 9/8 - 9/14

Our entire experience was amazing. The communication was outstanding. Pui made arrangements for pick up and drop at airport. She also facilitated scooter rental which was so easy, they dropped them off and picked them up. She met us there for check in and check out. We couldn’t recommend this property more. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Pui and team for a vacation we will always talk about.

Relaxing villa

pool very nice however needs painting. gardens nice and tidy - the villa was amazing especially the porch area where you can have your meals. both bedrooms are a good size with sliding doors to the garden. both bathrooms have great showers. kitchen area well equipped. quite area with a five min walk to the main road. staff were very friendly and helpful. TV wasn't working and was replaced very quickly.

Lovely hideaway

The place was great, beautiful pool and rooms were spacious and had ceiling fans, air con and flyscreens so you could have fresh air coming in all day and night. The bad parts- It was very hard to find so all taxi's/bolt drivers needed guiding as even google maps could not find it. But also- unfortunately, there was a lack of amenities, no basics like coffee, tea or milk upon arrival and no pamphlets or information outlining local shops or places of interest. Cleaner was lackadaisical. Electricity was expensive. Despite all of that , we had a truly wonderful time and managed to find the humour in the faults.

A little out of the way, and not fully private

Having stayed in this area previously, we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. The Villa was clean and ready for our arrival, albeit delayed by lost luggage in Singapore. We were met at not what I would say was a late arrival, delayed slightly by the luggage issue. I was asked for 12,000 thb deposit in cash, I would have preferred the option of a card retainment to cover any eventual damages, which, by the way there weren't any, as I did not have that value in thb in cash, so the payment was made with my UK currency which I was fortunate to have in possession. The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked, being very firm. The main disappointment was there was no A/C in the main living area, it was only fitted in the two bedrooms. And I would note that even when set on a temperature of 23-25 degrees, it hardly ever attained that level of cooling. So, to feel any level of comfort , you had to have the bedroom ceiling fans on full time as well as the A/C. This obviouly resulted in an increase in the use electricity, which is currently chargeable at the rate of 6thb per kw/hr, I queried this due to the price advertised online, and the host agreed to a reduction which I thanked them for. The pool was nice and enough to cool you off, it was not as private as expected, with the garden fence on the r/h/s not being fully private and visible from the adjoining villa. Access to the villa was down a rough track. Overall, I would not return.

Hervorragend

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage. Einziger Minuspunkt das man 1000 Baht bezahlen muss wenn man nicht zwischen 8 und 11 Uhr auscheckt. Hatten leider keine andere Wahl und mussten um 07:00 Uhr raus, weil wir mit dem Bus weiter gereist sind. Also mussten wir 1000 Baht bezahlen.
