The place was clean and location was great! As the home is old and there had been a lot of recent rain, there was a smell inside the house, especially on the first floor. However, host was very responsive when we mentioned it, and the maintenance team brought over a dehumidifier to try to help.

We really enjoyed our stay. It worked out good. There was four adults. We had her own room. It’s in a great location. Can walk to King Street all the restaurants. It was very, very clean. Would definitely recommend it to friends or family or anyone looking for staying in Charleston.

Wonderful stay! Host was good with communication. Only complaint is not being aware of the construction across the street. If you are traveling with kids or want to sleep past 7am I would book a different property. But, overall good stay and great location.

We really appreciate your review! It’s great to hear you had an overall good stay and enjoyed the location. Regarding the construction, it is unfortunately beyond our control as it’s a neighboring project, though we did update the listing prior to your booking. Thank you for your understanding, and we’d love to host you again.

The house was very nice but there is a large construction project directly across the street. It was EXTREMELY loud with noise beginning very very early in the morning. We could actually feel the house shaking at times.

This rental was a good location - a short walk from a very happening section of King Street. However, the overwhelming amount of construction made that nearly impossible - not the fault of the property, but still a drag. The driveway is very narrow. We had to fold in both mirrors and drive very slowly with one of us carefully guiding the other into the driveway spot with barely an inch clearance on both sides. The layout of the house is a little funky kitchen and bedroom on ground floor, living room andbedroom on second floor and then 2 more bedrooms in a low ceilinged slanted loft/ attic. The beds were very comfortable as others have stated. Others have also stated it feels like a college housing and I would agree. There was a funky smell in the house but that was somewhat to be expected in the house of this age.

Thanks for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the location and that the beds were comfortable. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes that do have it often come with narrow driveways, so we really appreciate your patience with that. Comfortable beds are always a priority for us, so it is great to hear that came through. We appreciate you staying with us and hope you still had a good time in Charleston.
