I’m not sure how this place has rave reviews because our stay was less than desirable. Future renters beware, our recommendation is for you to look elsewhere. We selected this home from pictures and text on their web site and picked this one because of the pool area which we could not use do to break down that pool service guy said had not worked for a month. Starting off with the cleanliness of the house – the entire house smells horribly of mold and mildew with visible water damage on the ceiling and walls. While it's completely understandable that hurricanes/storms cause damage (which doesn’t look like what this was – we live in FL and we know), IN NO WAY should this home be rented until these health risks are remediated. Additionally, the house was filthy upon checking in, as if no one cleaned it – pretty sure they used the same dirty mop water throughout the entire house (the nasty mop left in the laundry room spoke volumes). Upon arriving and walking the house, the soles of our feet were so black, it was as if we had walked miles on black pavement. (So, we cleaned the floors) The house has cockroaches (yes, live cockroaches – meaning they are not getting the home properly treated or not getting what they are paying for). Smelly, rotting flowers were left from what seemingly was the party here before us, not to mention the dirty dishes we found in the drawers. One of the beds had black hairs all over the pillows. There were fans and lights not working and there was horrible temperature control/distribution throughout the home. Not to mention the fact that the pool/spa was not working (not heated as advertised, pump didn’t work until the last 2 days, and questionable how clean based on the state of the home). It also seems like this house has been abused with very little remediation. Lastly, I spent over 2 hours on the phone with the mgmt. company throughout my vacation, who never did remediate our situation/make it right, except for giving us a refund of $690.00 after I told them I wanted $2000.00 (saying sorry over and over doesn’t cut it when you have a situation like we did). I had to keep personally calling them vs them proactively keeping me updated, their communications and follow-up were just plain bad. For what they ask for this place, it was 100% NOT worth it! For all these reasons, our stay is only getting a 1-star review, and this is coming from people that rarely complain and never write reviews – it was just BAD.
