We have stayed at the Casa DeEmdeko complex several times. I always book an end unit and this one is my favorite! It’s beautifully decorated, well appointed, has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, furnished lanai and a killer view. A lot of thought has gone into the needs of vacationers. The photos are accurate. It’s perfect for 2 couples or small family. The small condo complex is quiet, beautifully landscaped and centrally located. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. It’s a winner!

The ultimate OCEANFRONT condo!!Right on top of the water. See and hear waves crashing on the rocks!!!Can even hear them in both bedrooms at night. Nothing better than falling asleep to the ocean sounds. Communication with the owner and caretaker was quick/responsive!I will look to stay here again when I visit Kona

Had a great time with family. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the Lanai. Very clean and open. We were disappointed about the pool next to the unit being closed for 6 out of the 7 days we were there. We only got to use it our 1st day. Lucky for us there was another pool to use. I did buy a couple of extra towels for the 2nd bathroom. The front door sticks and had to figure out how to lock it but over all had a great time. Thank you

You can't go wrong with this place. The views are fantastic. The building is older but the condo inside was great. Sunset from the lanai were amazing. I would have love to stay longer then the 3 days i had.

Trip was amazing, this condo lives up to everything it says and more. Wrap around balcony on the water is awesome, enjoyed quiet sunsets and morning coffee daily out there. Loved the day bed out there too. Condo very clean, very well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms and beds comfortable. The condo was very well stocked with everything you may have forgot (toiletries, kitchen items, beach stuff (chairs, snorkel equipment, pool toys). Can’t say enough good things about this rental. Location easy to get to beaches to the south or north, close to town.

This condo was the perfect place to have a small get together with friends and enjoy the ocean views. My friends and I had a lovely time together. We had dinner on the lanai, movie night and a delightful breakfast. The space isn’t huge but the view was spectacular and made the smaller space totally worth it.

First, let me just say that the online photos don’t even do justice to how beautiful this rental is. The lanai is everything! We had breakfast on it every morning and spent most of our time watching outriggers sail by and we even spotted a few dolphins! What an experience! The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owner’s communication was thorough and prompt. Would love to stay here again!

Thank you so much for the kind words! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the lanai as much as we do—there really is nothing quite like starting the day with breakfast and a view of the outriggers. We're so glad you got to spot some dolphins, too! It’s those little moments that make the Big Island so special. We’d be delighted to have you back at the condo anytime!

The view was everything! Jill was a lovely host and great communicator. The unit was spacious and clean, with lovely new appliances in the well stocked kitchen. There is a coffee grinder coffeemaker as well as a Keurig. Appreciated the Brita in the fridge. The building itself is older and the proximity to the ocean creates a salty mist that causes corrosion, which explained some of the reviews. Overall, we thought it was clean and well kept given the climate. We didn’t have power for a good part of 1 day because of scheduled tree work which we didn’t know about until a couple days before we arrived and the saltwater pool was also closed because of high waves, so we had to stay flexible. But we LOVED our stay and felt very blessed to be there!!!

This unit is amazing! The wrap around deck and huge living room make it feel extremely spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and access to the complex and unit was smooth. The waves crashing could be heard all day and night and it was the best view for the sunset! We would absolutely rent this place again :)

The host was very amenable and allowed us to check in a few hours earlier due to an early flight from Maui. Location was 10 minutes to some of the best snorkeling in Kona and 10 minutes to a lot of nice restaurants. However, on more than one occasion we ordered takeout for breakfast or lunch and ate on the large balcony with a gorgeous ocean view.

Thank you so much! We are honored that you chose our lanai as the place to celebrate a birthday—what a wonderful way to make memories. We also appreciate your patience while we coordinated with the complex on that minor issue; we always strive to be as responsive as possible for our guests. We’d love to have you back for your next celebration!

This condo is beyond amazing. The lanai is the best part. We enjoyed sitting out everyday and listening to the ocean. I staked claim of the daybed. It was the first place I went upon waking. Everything was clean and fully stocked. The property was very quiet. Parking was plenty and rarely did we have to park at the front of the property. We did go in the off season. The only complaint I have about the place was the small curtain in the queen size room. The light from outside shines into the room. Once you fall asleep it doesn't matter but getting to sleep for me took a bit because of the light. Bring a sleep mask and it won't be a problem. If we ever make it back to the Big Island I will be booking again. I absolutely loved it.

Thank you for the review! We’re so glad you enjoyed those incredible views. We sincerely apologize again for the A/C being down during your stay. We aim to be very upfront about the nature of the cooling system in our older ocean-front building, and we appreciate your patience while the maintenance was being handled. We’re happy you had a great stay otherwise and would love to have you back!
