Entry code NOT sent until after their official check in time, despite repeated requests. The place was NOT CLEAN at all, MOLD on ceiling in bathroom right above shower on ceiling WALLS & by air vent. I have & immediately sent photos to property manager who was not helpful & made it worse by mean response, ground in dirt on floor, carpet nasty, not vacuumed, nails protruding from stairs, clogged bathtub which the service tried to bandaid with Draino (did not work) we arrived to a tub full of standing water, the worst was that the manager, when notified of issues seemed annoyed we were bothering her (notification was via text, not invasive), she did not address issues, was difficult to deal with, did not care about photos of ALL the problems, she refunded $100 of $150 cleaning fee BUT what about MY time, & the fact that I had to clean on my vacation? The wood on deck is chipped- they tried to hide under a rug- I got splinter in my foot anyways, then they tried to schedule repair guys to come the morning after we got there which would have woken us up... Because of some pre-existing garage problem that had nothing to do w/ us.
PARENT WARNING: *BAD for small children, very dangerous, steep ladder to loft, would be easy to fall over the side rail up there too, I was glad not to have little kids. There was a sticky price tag left on the stair railing & dirt streaks present on 2 walls. There were 2 patch jobs on the wall w/ a different paint color over them. I did not want to have company over- embarrassing, no matter how much I cleaned, scrubbed, and vacuumed. I had to go out & buy our own cleaning supplies to do a job that I paid others to have already done. Every time the garage went up & down- from the main house renters, well it made NOISE which made it impossible to sleep until they were in for the night as carriage house is right over the garage. No door to the bedroom so no privacy.
The POSITIVE things: location was awesome. So much potential to this place- I have a strong feeling the owners of the property can't know how it is being (not being) maintained or they would be upset.
10 years of going to Rosemary, Seaside, Seacrest, & Watercolour too. No problems like this ever. We enjoyed our time there despite the challenges our accommodations seemed to present which hopefully will be addressed. Lord knows I sent enough photos (dated/time stamped upon our arrival). Took video upon leaving also, just in case. At this price point, expect better.
