spacious!

plenty of room for our 3 families (5 kids total). Like how we all had our own space to stretch out in! The kiddos liked the shallow water space around the dock too! Big dining room inside plus lots of eating spaces on the back patio was wonderful. Enjoyed some awesome sunrises and sunsets too!

Spacious Home on Palmer Lake

The lake house was very spacious and worked perfectly for our family vacation with 12 people. The lake was warm and great for swimming and skiing/wake-surfing/tubing on our boat. Our stay coincided with the annual 4th of July festivities and we especially enjoyed the "Ring of Fire" around the lake on the night of July 3rd. What a great lake event! Overall our stay was wonderful and the home allowed us to have a very comfortable and memorable family vacation.

Palmer Lakehouse Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation; 8 adults and 8 grandchildren. The layout of the house was perfect for our family to have some individual space when needed, and great rooms for group activity. Good Lord provided a perfect weather week for us to enjoy the lake kayaking (ours), paddle boat, swimming, and kids fishing off the dock. We rented a pontoon that was great fun too. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming to our family. We had planned some day trip activity, but we never did them because families wanted to stay at the lake. Palmer Lakehouse set the stage for a great family vacation week for my family. We're all hopeful to be able to do it again!

Loved this Place!

This is definitely a place we would rent again if in the area. Mark was super easy to get a hold of before/during and after the trip. The paddle boat was a highlight! Great Place!!

This is a great place to vacation with a family.. Plenty of beds and sunroom.. Swimming is wonderful

Our grandkids used the game room..lots of games and movies when they weren't swimming.. They used the sunroom to color.. This place is very equipped with towels and linens to be able to truly relax.. A nice grocery 10 minutes away.. A Meijer store close also... We plan to go back next year.. Mark was always on call when we had a question or needed anything... The road behind the house is perfect for walking... And there is a school playground just minutes away... We had a great time!!!

Awesome sunsets!

This house worked out fine for our group of 10 adults. The kitchen is very well supplied with every kind of pot/pan/knives/grilling implements. Fully stocked. There was even some cleaning supplies in the kitchen/bathrooms. The house is a little dated, could use an update, new furniture, carpet, and some paint, but all in all it worked out fine. The lake side of the house has nice views from the dining room and kitchen. The sunsets are amazing every evening, it was a highlight. Mark was quick to return my call when we needed him. The Village Market in Colon is a very nice supermarket with everything you could need and Dollar General is next door. Curly's is a great spot for dinner and the M & M Grill is wonderful for breakfast. Had a wonderful time.

Great Lake House Vacation

We had a great week at the Palmer Lake House. The accommodations were everything we could of expected . It was great to have our Four grandchildren with us and really enjoyed the quiet lake. The kids really like taking the paddle boat out on the lake. Definitely will be considered next year if the dates were available. Highly recommend this lake house to other looking for a peaceful lake experience . Thanks

Perfect lake house for a large family

I cannot say enough wonderful things about pur stay at the Palmer Lake House. The house was very clean and well stocked with towels, bedding and kitchen essentials. 2 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms and 3 common living areas was wonderful. Luckily the weather was gorgeous, but if it wasn't, there would have been plenty of room for everyone in the house. The sandy bottom lake front they advertised is absolutely true. We had a GREAT time in the lake. And Mark was nice enough to put fishing tips in the house guide! Plenty of dock space and frontage to fish from, and we caught quite a bit! This was the first time we rented this house, and I have already requested another weekend next year. Kids (and adults as well) were sad to leave. I would DEFINITELY recommend this beautiful house to anyone!

Spacious clean family cottage

Nice, clean casual cottage which suited our large family well. The exterior is a bit ragged. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved the paddle boat and dock. Dutch Creek Farm near Shipshewana was a big hit with everyone.

Great Family Friendly Lake House!

My family of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) stayed at the lake house and had a wonderful time. The place was even better than the pictures. It had plenty of room and was set-up great. The game room was jam packed with about every boardgame imaginable, the kids loved watching DVDs and playing games in there during the one stormy morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The sandy lake bottom outside the house was awesome, as was the dock for the kids to jump off of. We even headed down to the public beach a few minutes away too. Mark was great to work with. He answered all of my questions ahead of time as to what was available at the house. The lake house guide that Mark and Peggy provided was very comprehensive of the house, the town, the history, things to do, etc. We would highly recommend this place to our friends and family and consider staying here again. Beautiful home!!

This was the second year we stayed at this place! Our group loves the property! There is plenty of room for our group of 10. The view is amazing and plenty of room outside to enjoy dinner and the sun. It's very clean and Mark is awesome with communication. He's friendly and helpful. Great lake house

Our experience at this lake house was great. Our family of 9 adults and 6 grandchildren stayed here and never felt crowded. The house is clean and has everything you might need for a nice waterfront vacation. The water is shallow enough for kids to play in the water which they did, endlessly. We brought some water toys, rented a pontoon and kayaks which added to our fun. This was our third summer vacation at this bakehouse and we will probably rent it again next summer. The owner is very pleasant to deal with, too, and the neighbors are very friendly. Fun vacation!

Perfect Wedding Bridal Party Accommodations

Thank you for the perfect location for our family and other members of the bridal party to stay and enjoy our daughter's wedding in nearby Sherwood. The lake was beautiful and the house was perfect for all of us to spread out and have space yet enjoy being together in the large common areas. Cousins Reunion 2014

Thanks so much for another great time at Palmer Lake. We were assigned to your house for our Cousin's Reunion. The house is great and the view is wonderful. We loved the new sheets and plush towels. cousins reunion 012

HI, We were part of the cousins who enjoyed staying in your home while attending our cousin's reunion last week. The house is so great for us as we have plenty of space to spread out while we are there and not with the rest of our large group. We even enjoyed spreading out on the large table and in the kitchen as we prepared the meal we had been assigned for out group of 30 in attendance. The view is beautiful and one of the first things I did in the morning was open all of the shades so we could look out over the lake. Susan Watson

Perfect for our cousins reunion

Hi Mark! I wanted to let you know how much my cousins enjoyed using the Palmer Lake rental! It was the perfect "annex" for our group...we ended up with 30 at our reunion. With our home, our apartment, our neighbors cottage and yours being used, it allowed all of us to spend our daytime (and into the night) at our house, but still have some privacy for quiet time and sleeping. One family of cousins (5 siblings and spouses) used your home, and they said it was perfect for them and insist that they get the house if we do it again! Bruce ran a pontoon shuttle to your cottage four times a day which allowed us to minimize parking congestion at our house. I, personally, want to thank you and your parents for showing us the house ahead of time and for providing the linens and all of the other things that were necessary for their stay - this was important since some were flying in from California, Texas, and Massachusettes and were forced to travel light! One cousin was thrilled that she had the internet access as she reads a bedtime story to her grandchildren everynight via face-to-face. They loved the view and enjoyed their morning coffee on the patio. Thank you for your part in a great reunion!!!!

Great for big or multiple famalies

Don't let the pictures decieve you this house is very well layed out with plenty of space. We had 5 famalies and had plenty of room to not be on top of one another. The fishing off the dock was great, and the kids enjoyed playing in the water. The home was close enough to make a day trip to Shipshewanna and Binder Park Zoo, so the kids were never bored. The neighbors on both sides of the house were great! We've never rented in a more hospitable place.
