The house is located on Cedar Creek only a couple hundred yards from State Road 107 and Lake Glenville where we have private gated access to a Cedar Point Park with a pavilion, restrooms and parking. Boating recreation is a huge draw for this location and of all kinds are welcome here, from fishing to pontoons, to kayak and canoeing. Motorboats pull tubers and paddleboarders are welcome. There is a marina which rents vessels, if that is a desire. But even a simple walk to sit and enjoy the water from the shore is a wonderful treat. As is a stroll down to the creek to throw a line in and see if you can net a bass or brook trout! Our view is to the west, so sunset picnics and views are sweet, or sunset swims, from our community area gazebo by the lake. The creek behind the house is also fun to visit and splash in with the kids.
The house is private enough to enjoy the mountains and feel "away from it all", yet is not so remote that you can't meet your immediate needs. Cashiers is a 10-15 min drive with all you need- gas station, restaurants and a full grocery with pharmacy, Ingles. There is a small local brewery and coffee shop, extensive hardware store, gift boutiques etc, as well. It is a charming area which caters to visitors in this area. Highlands is a 30 min uphill drive and has many options for services and entertainment as well. Sapphire Valley is beyond Cashiers and all of these areas are renowned for golf resorts if that is an appeal.
