My family and I (three kids ages 19, 16, and 11) stayed here for 8 nights from 12/24/24 - 1/1/25. First, I’ll talk about the owner. Outstanding communicator since booked reservation. Very detailed directions, suggestions, information. Also, appreciate how she handled issue in condo w water heater the day we arrived (had new water heater installed by day after Christmas so while it was a minor inconvenience, she handled it gracefully and also gave us a gift card to the Mauna Kea for the inconvenience). In terms of the condo, perfect for our family…lots of space, outstanding views, upgrades throughout, and in a quiet neighborhood. The condo is within the grounds of the Mauna Kea resort and we purchased the amenity package at 180 per day so had access to beach/pool/gym etc at both the Mauna Kea hotel and the Westin Hapuna. My only criticism (and it’s more of an awareness) is that you will need to drive to the Mauna Kea and Westin each day to use the beach/pool. While it was a small hassle, we got used to it quickly and it only took about 5 mins. There is a pool and gym right by the condo as well. One other thing I’ll mention is that food on Big Island is ridiculously expensive but that’s not related to the condo just pointing it out in general. Having the condo helps w keeping food costs down by using local grocery stores and the great kitchen.Would definitely go back and stay here because of the unit itself and the great communication from the owner
