You've read many positive reviews and I will add mine to the list. You will NOT be disappointed in the property. It is accurately portrayed.
First, the private pool and hot tub was a delight. The adults and y 4 yo grandson loved both. There is plenty of seating, a large propane grill and a six person patio table( but you can add kitchen chairs and fit more. The view of sunset was spectacular. As advertised, it's a 180 degree view affords views of the sunset and the golden glow reflected off houses and mountains to the right. We didn't use the tiki torches as we were under a burn ban for part of our stay.
The kitchen is well stocked. There's a spice rack, two types of local honey, instapot, crockpots and an unbelievable amount of glassware and dishes. You can decorate your dining tables and bathrooms with flowers, gourds and tropical leaves from the grounds for a special touch.
The garage has many beach chairs is you go to other beaches. There are two coolers.
I highly recommend purchasing a day pass for Hapuna and Mauna Kea hotels. My son was in Honolulu first at the Moana Surfrider. Most hotels properties in Hawaii charge $100 a day for two umbrellas and lounge chairs. For the charge we had complimentary valet parking, self parking, could charge at both resorts and lounge chai8rs and umbrellas for your whole group. We preferred Mauna Kea for the servic (beach set up, complimentary NYT digest and strict warnings about any danger of the beach, as well as the beach bar)
