My wife and I normally travel for our anniversary and reserve our Annual Greer Trip for October. I've never stayed on the east side of the river and was a little apprehensive at first, but the quietness and remoteness of the property I consider a major plus. We went to the west side of the river and it was extremely crowded and noisy with the holiday weekend traffic. I originally booked the property form my wife and I plus are inlaws, but with the covid outbreak made the decision to go by ourselves. A few thinks to note about the property. 1) the wrap around porch is a major plus and great from a little afternoon R&R. 2) Lighting inside the cabin is a little low with the current use of CFL lighting vs. Incandescent or LED. 3) the stairs are a little steep, but would be great for kids or younger adults. 4) Bring your own knives and specialty items (Potato Peeler) along with spices.
My wife thought the cabin was a little rustic when we arrived, but after 4 night it grew on both of us and we had an a absolutely relaxing time. Seeing deer in the yard and on walks almost every day helped in my break away from the challenges of the city and work.
