Relaxing, cozy studio room in a beautiful setting

We really enjoy enjoyed our stay at the lower Casita. Our hosts were welcoming and so helpful. Loved all of the amenities (hot tub, sauna, easily accessible hiking trails)— made our stay so relaxing and stress free.

Amazing Oasis and even better hosts

Everything about our stay here exceptional to say the least. Huib, Iona and Shadae were fantastic hosts, from the pre-checkin communication to the responsiveness throughout our stay. They even helped plan and facilitate a private surprise breakfast for my wife’s birthday in a beautiful secluded area of the resort. They handled everything from purchasing the food, flowers, champagne to setting it all up with a table setting like we were at a nice restaurant. One thing that is hard to capture in pictures about this place is how peaceful and tranquil it is. From the landscaping to the water features to all the thoughtfully placed sitting areas, the quiet solitude beckons you to relax and unwind. It’s hard to get this at a large resort, no matter how nice it is. Our garden suite was perfect for 2 with all the amenities we needed, well stocked wine fridge and drink and snacks in the other fridge. We had our own private courtyard with fire pit, water fountain and swing with beautiful views. When we return to Sedona, we will not think twice about where we stay.

Beautiful Views

Breathtaking views and tranquil environment. A perfect stay to disconnect from life’s craziness. Iona and Huib were so warm and welcoming, I’d highly recommend staying with them.

Iona and Huib were absolutely amazing in every way! Amazing property and scenic views!!

We will most definitely be back again! This is by far our favorite trip yet. Iona and Huib were both very accommodating and so polite and sweet! We highly recommend staying at their property, you won't regret it!

Zen

Due to a health emergency, we needed a quick place to get away, heal, and prepare for what is coming. We booked at last minute, and they bent over backwards to make our experience on of he most relaxing and healing weekends of our life. I was given a healing massage and told when I got back to room it was the most happy/relaxed I have looked in a good long time. The rooms/views/grounds are all designed to sooth and relax. Love the running water fountains. We can't wait to return when I recover.

Lovely Views and Accommodations

Charming and clean room with amazing views of the red rocks that have walkable access to numerous hiking trails. The blinds could have provided more privacy when you don’t want to enjoy to floor to ceiling windows. Very welcoming hosts who want to ensure you enjoy your stay.

Amazing Property

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. Amazing views of Sedona red rocks, great amenities on the property, and just a very relaxing and peaceful experience overall. Amazing Honeymoon Destination

My husband and I stayed at Iona and Huib's gorgeous retreat for our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute! Iona and Huib are extraordinary hosts and the property is gorgeous. We enjoyed the scenic views in the morning and the easy access to hiking trails from the property in the afternoon. Ahead of our stay, Iona sent us recommendations for activities in the area and answered any question we had about the property. Their hospitality was top notch and they made sure we had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed interacting with the other guests when we did cross paths. We hope to visit again!

Heaven on Earth

Huib and Iona are incredibly warm and welcoming. Amazing accommodations with the most beautiful view of the Sedona red rocks imaginable. We had a fully stocked wine cooler with a selection chosen by Huib who is a master sommelier. Many other amenities that were completely unexpected. Life changing experience.

The BEST stay in Sedona

There aren’t enough stars to give this place. From the moment I booked, I felt like Iona and Huib had our personal experience in mind. The location is perfect, the views are stunning, and the amentities can’t be beat. Also, we took several hikes around the property and it felt private and secluded. We will be back!!!

Amazing experience

This place is absolutely magical. The property has unbelievable views right outside of your room and you feel completely secluded and in nature. The room we stayed in was very comfortable. We’re both picky about beds and the bed was a dream. They have a pool area with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, which we used daily. There’s also hiking directly off the property, which was really cool because it was more private than the public trails. We planned on going out to dinner, but every night we were enjoying our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave and ended up ordering in. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Huib and Iona!

Incredible experience

Spent our honeymoon here and it was magical! Plan on coming back. Wonderful experience all around and wine tasting with Huib is a must! Ideal location with exceptional views!

Beautiful Setting

This location and property is beautiful. The hosts are polite, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the pool was not able to be heated and we could not swim. Many small projects around the property were a bit messy and detracted from the experience.

Extraordinary

We've done a lot of traveling but we've never stayed somewhere quite like this. It's even better than the listing seems, so treat yourself. Between the beautiful property itself, stunning views of rightfully famous rock formations, immediate hiking trails, spa!!, and wine tastings and body treatments provided by the hosts, you never need to get in your car (but if you want to, of course there's lots to do in the area). Iona and Huib are exceptionally hospitable and it was lovely to get to know them a little. So grateful for this immersion in nature and beauty.

Our goal is to create a beautiful, welcoming space away from the chaos of daily life, where our guests can truly rest, relax, restore and reconnect with the essence of life. Our main wish is that all our guests depart refreshed, re-energized, transformed and happy, ready to embrace all that life has to offer.

This is one of a handful of historic buildings in Sedona. Designed by Bob McIntyre who also architected the famous Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Center and other unique buildings in Sedona. When you look closely at the adobe brick walls, notice how they curve, a hallmark of McIntyre’s style and something that very few would replicate today.

In addition to having a very unique architecture our home has a strong and unusual lineage of owners. Originally built by Platt Cline (the Flagstaff newspaper editor after whom NAU’s Cline library was named), our home was lovingly owned by Ann Miller, a Hollywood actress in the 1940’ and then by the Wrigley family. We feel honored to be the stewards of this historic property in Sedona and while we modernize we are constantly ensuring that we continue to respect the beauty of the architecture and the legacy that the previous owners left for us.

We also have a beautiful new deluxe Hot Spring therapeutic hot tub designed to target specific muscle groups (very relaxing and incredibly soothing) and a salt water swimming pool (solar heated), aromatherapy steam room and professional grade dry sauna, all fully available for guests to enjoy with spacious areas for relaxing.
