We were really looking forward to our stay at this home, especially given its great location right across from the Grey's Crossing Club House. Unfortunately, the overall experience was a letdown due to several serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. When we arrived, we were surprised to find dirty towels still in the laundry room and more left in the washing machine. While housekeeping was sent out quickly after we reported the issue, things only went downhill from there. We left to take our kids swimming, and upon returning around 7 p.m.—with two small children in wet bathing suits—we found ourselves locked out. The lockbox had jammed, and despite it being labeled as an "emergency" issue, it took over an hour to hear back from anyone. We were cold, uncomfortable, and stranded with no way to access our belongings. When we finally got a call, we were told this kind of lock issue "is not uncommon" and that we just needed to hit it with a hammer or screwdriver as the key gets jammed inside. While this eventually worked, we were shocked by the lack of preparation and professionalism. The next morning, we noticed another concerning issue—after just an hour of running around inside barefoot, our kids' feet were completely black. The floors were clearly not clean. On top of that, my in-laws, who were staying with us, found their duvet cover still damp when they went to bed, which was both uncomfortable and unsettling. For the price we paid, the lack of basic cleanliness and reliability was unacceptable. I genuinely cannot recommend this property to others, which is disappointing given its potential.It has a nice hot tub, multiple game tables, etc. Hopefully these issues will be addressed better moving forward.
