It was exactly what my son and i were looking for! Small, very affordable and close to the water. Everything you need such as grocery store, bait shop, laundromat and restaurant's were all within a 5 to 10 minutes drive. Roscommon is a small and laid back town with that old town(70's and 80's) feel to it still. The property/cabin owners were great!!!! Very kind and basically just good people. The cabin was clean and well equipped with anything that a person could need within reason. The only things we purchased for our stay was charcoal for the grill and detergent for our clothes. Checking in and getting wifi access was easy and smooth along with all of the other communications between myself and Tony and his wonderful wife. 5 and class act people!!!!!

Nice little vacation

Close to shopping and restaurants. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Kitchen was very well stocked and lots of hot water. Clean inside and lots of towels. Very close to DNR boat launch.

Peaceful and wonderful stay

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay! The house was clean with comfortable beds, nice linens and towels, great water pressure. The lake itself was beautiful and never too busy. We had a blast using our boat every day to fish and tube, and visit the sandbars around the lake. The hosts were lovely people, and we really enjoyed our time there! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises right from the lawn!

Amazing week to disconnect and reconnect!

Lovely cabin right on the lake with a dock to tie-up our boat. The cabin was clean and had anything you would need for a comfortable stay. Easy check-in and check-out and the owners were easily assessable if needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything needed to prepare meals. Great water pressure in the shower! Clean, fresh linens throughout. The lake was relatively quiet during the week and busier on the weekend. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Had a couple great meals at the very nearby Limberlost bar and grill, which is right on the water. Having the boat launch steps away from the cabin was perfect! My husband and I will definitely be back!!

Resting and recuperating

Lovely, comfortable cottage. Perfect for three individual adults. Loved sitting by the water. One swam as weather permitted. One relaxed and one was recuperating from a recent fall. A good place to be. Some wind and rain….but it’s Michigan.

Nice and clean cottage

Cottage was nice and clean, it was well supplied with what we needed. The family that owned it were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely rent from them again.

Great cottage!

Excellent renovated cottage that had all necessities needed. Comfortable and tastefully decorated. Queens beds were comfy! Location was great, near DNR launch made dropping jetskis in a breeze! Great sunsets! The owners were very nice!! Loved being right on water. 10 stars! We will be back!

A great family getaway

The cabin was perfect for an end of the summer getaway. It was clean and had all of the essentials needed for the week. The owners were awesome and very friendly. The sunsets on the dock took your breath. A beautiful location!

Awesome week at the lake!!

The cabin was just as described. Pictures represent the location well. It was a super easy check in and check out. The owners were very friendly and helpful, although we didn’t have any concerns that required the owners during our stay! We brought out small ski boat and a jet ski. The boat launch is super close and we’re able to keep them on the dock. We also brought two kayaks and a inflatable paddle board. Super easy to put them in the water from the dock. The water is shallow so it was perfect for the kids to jump in and play. Awesome fire pit to sit and relax with the waves and star gaze in the evenings. If you are looking for a small family getaway at a great rate this is your place.

This is a clean, updated cabin right on the lake. It had all the comforts of home. The owners were very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Houghton Lake Vacation

Cabin was very clean and well equipped. Property owners were easy to contact about minor questions. Boat launch is very close to the cabin so put our jet ski in was easy and ORV trailhead is only a couple miles down the road.

Relaxation on the lake

This little cabin was an absolute gem. Tony and his family went above and beyond. The cabin is well stocked, comfy and cozy. Lake access is right outside your door, with a fantastic fire pit overlooking the sunsets. We had a fantastic week!
