Summer 2025

We had so much fun. The location was perfect. July the area can get busy and parking can be challenging - we did not have to deal with it. The house was a short walk to the beach and we went every day. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils. Bath towels were limited - so you may want to bring some from home. We would definately stay here again.

Very Happy With Everything

The place was in a very good location, it had everything we needed, and overall was well kept. The host was very good at communicating with us. Would definitely recommend.

Great location, great host

We stayed here for a family vacation and had a wonderful time! The house is a very short walk to the beach and there was everything we needed to keep everyone entertained and comfortable. When we arrived, the previous renters had left a few things undone, but after contacting Jessica everything was put to rights immediately. Jessica and her husband were very responsive and were invested in making sure we had a great stay. There are lots of restaurants and other great things to do in Surf City and Topsail. We would definitely stay again!

Not as advertised

The house was fine after shock. The most important thing was the pictures that I saw had better furniture. The pictures were changed and cannot find now. The furniture was nasty looking had host put blankets over. It did not look like it had a good cleaning but a fast one. I would have been fine with waiting to check in. Overall, Jessica was accommodating, but for the money I paid very disappointed. The pictures also made to look like the way to the beach was beside the house.

LOVED it!

Everyone from age 3 to 65 had the best time! It was the perfect location to do all the things we set out to do. Daily trips to the beach was such an easy walk. Outdoor dining was minutes away by car. And we loved touring the Sea Turtle Hospital! The host was very easy to reach as needed and the house was just lovely.

Top Sail Wedding

Location was perfect! We didn’t know we were in a HOA, we were limited with parking and had to make arrangements for our boat. The manger did reach out to the HOA but they declined us to park the boat there, although other boat trailers were parked in the community. The home met our needs but it was felt that it could have had more attention to preparing the home prior to our arrival. There was a cell phone under the pillow of a bed and a towel and bathing suit left in a bathroom. The manager was very kind and accommodating and apologetic.

Perfect getaway!

Everything about this Memorial Day getaway was perfect. From the time I completed my reservation, Jess was wonderful. The house was great and all the family (all 10) loved it! Would definitely go back!

Bigger than it looks

We loved how there was room for everyone to have their own space. Short walk to the beach was very easy and convenient. Close to shops and restaurants, pleasant and family friendly community.

Great location!

We loved this property! Open floor plan on the main living area was awesome. Lots of seating for meals, family fun and watching TV. Kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials for preparing meals for a group. Short walk to the beach. Loved the beach chairs and sand toys. We didn’t have room to bring our own. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome for families - easy beach access

From the beginning, Jessica was amazing to work with. The home was much bigger then we expected and stocked with everything we needed to cook for our family. Jessica even brought in a pack n play for our infant. The beach access was a VERY short walk and easy for us to manage with a wagon and a stroller. The washer and dryer worked perfectly - a must for our active kids. Overall a wonderful property in a prime location. We’re already planning a trip for next year!

Perfect location!

Overall it was a great location and amazing house. The house was much larger than the pictures that were provided which was a plus, the location is great. It is close enough to do things but yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The only thing I can suggest is that they put a sound bar or a movie sound system to work well with the big room.

Loved the place

It is spacious and had plenty of beds for us and our five children. We didn’t even have fights over who got which beds! The walk to the beach is short and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the hospitality!

Jessica is amazing and could not ask for a better person to work with

This property is amazing! Upon first arriving, my wife and I were impressed with how clean and well stocked the property was. We have been renting condos for years and the personal attention was well above anything we have ever experienced or expected. I wish I could take this property’s floor plan with us to every place we visit. We had all beds filled and could barely notice anyone else in the house. The dining area was massive and was able to seat all of us very comfortably. My family loved the property and Jessica was amazing in communicating with us every step of the way.

My name is Jessica and I was born in New York and met my future husband, Mike, freshman year of college at a small liberal arts school called Hobart & William Smith. If anyone has spent a winter in upstate New York you know why we now live in North Carolina. We have been in the Wilmington area since 2008 and absolutely love it. So, we traded ice storms in the north for hurricanes in the south, but it has been totally worth it. Our son Holden and daughter Elsie will tell you that the beach is awesome! We have so many good memories here and look forward to many more. Our family has also been enjoying VRBO's around the country for many years and love the platform it offers travelers, so we wanted to share our house with you. Please send posts and pictures to us so we may see the wonderful time you have with your family and friends in this amazing oasis.
