Me and my three kids had an amazing stay in Portland. Erna was a top tier communicator and available at all hours. She went above and beyond with all of the commodities for us! Location was stellar :)

The property was in a great location, well equipped with everything you could possibly have "forgotten," and Erna even went above and beyond to provide some food for a late-night arrival. The only issue (and it was really our mistake!) was that my 82-year-old mother couldn't get in and out of the claw-foot tub. If we ever need to stay in Portland again, this is a great apartment to stay! Thank you for the great hospitality!

Great stay in characterful house

We felt immediately at home. The owner had thought of everything that would make our stay comfortable. We also loved the location.

Defecation was absolutely in the perfect area.

There is plenty to do in town, wonderful restaurants, favorites delicious people were friendly and there is great fishing! Our hosts were wonderful, they were extremely accommodating, I would highly recommend!

Great spot in Portland

Great spot to stay in Portland! Easy walk to the beautiful promenade with a view of Casco Bay. Slightly longer but easily doable (and pleasant) walk to the downtown area. Apartment is charming and comfortable.

Amazing find in a great neighborhood!

We had a great time at Erna"s place on Munjoy Hill. The communication was easy and the place looked exactly like the pictures. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything we needed and then some. We parked our cars Friday night and literally walked everywhere we wanted to go, including the old port and ferry terminal. The water pressure and wifi were both very strong. We wouldn't change a thing! Thank you, Erna, for your hospitality!

Fantastic Location, Fantastic Stay

I'm usually hesitant to review VRBOs, because I tend to have high standards and don't want to harm the owner. This VRBO has earned its 5 stars. The owner has taken the time to think through the needs of her guests. She has gotten every small detail right, from the availability of creamer in the fridge (stocked with eggs when we got there as well), to the phone chargers everywhere (each with 3 connectors, for each of the common standards), to the abundance of towels in the bathroom. Erna was communicative and helpful, and left out guides (updated for 2024) listing and rating nearby restaurants and attractions. The location itself is fantastic, near great restaurants and a park, and within walking distance to the main tourist hub. The streets were quiet and charming. There were high quality cocktail bars nearby, but no noise reached our street. I would highly recommend this location to anyone considering staying in Portland.

Wonderfully Amazing Stay

All I can say is wow! It was our first time in Maine and knew little to nothing about the area. Erna sent numerous links and itineraries to help us navigate our trip in one email. It helped tremendously. She knows Maine very well and her recommendations were on point. Her place is beautiful and roomy. Perfect for our family of 5. The house is in the cutest neighborhood and in walking distance to the Promenade and East End beach. The food trucks were delicious! We also went on a train ride with our 3 year old granddaughter. So fun! My girls love the beach and we didn’t bring chairs. Erna brought us ones we could use. So thoughtful. It was a fantastic stay with a thoughtful and kind host. I highly recommend this place.

A clean, well stocked older home in a wonderful neighborhood. Lots of room with two living rooms. Munjoy Hill is walking distance to town and also the Eastern Promenade. Terrific local restaurants like The Front Room are a short walk away. Not to be missed is the tour of the Portland Observatory, fascinating.

Fantastic Location for families!

Lovely 3 bedroom house very near the bay and a children’s playground. The owner provided lots of extras (universal chargers, shampoo, coffee, etc) making for a lovely stay. Easy walk to some local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Location

Perfect location for a quick walk to to the beach with amazing views and a park. A short mile walk to TONS of dockside restaurants and shops. More than enough room for 4 of us. The house had everything we needed and Erna was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The house was clean, everything was in order and we had a wonderful stay.
