We enjoyed our stay very much. A beautiful, secluded location with mountain views (winter) surrounding the home. The cozy gas fireplace and comfortable furnished home made for a very relaxing getaway. Enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi tub more than we would have an outdoor hot tub in winter. Would love to return!

Dave was absolutely wonderful to communicate with during this stay. The cabin was fantastic, spotless, very cozy and adequately equipped. The fireplace is beautiful and we loved the wraparound decks.The bed linens were very high quality and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. There were snacks, coffee and tea available as well as drinks in the fridge which was an extremely nice touch and much appreciated. If you like higher end shampoo/conditioner/soap you'll want to bring some of your own, but they do have a hair dryer, nice makeup remover cloths and towels. There is plenty of hot water for multiple showers. There is a good HVAC system and we had no issues keeping the cabin warm.We arrived late at night and there is limited lighting outside by the driveway, so if you arrive at night be sure to use your phone flashlight for safety navigating the outside steps. Dave has flashlights plugged in inside for use once you get there. Each morning you can wake up to find the cabin surrounded by deer who seem mostly unaffected by people. We saw whole groups of big bucks, does, etc of 10 each day. It was peaceful and absolutely incredible to see them so close to the cabin. Dave even mailed us something we left behind after we left. 10 stars.

Great place for a quiet weekend away! The place was just as described and felt very cozy and we immediately felt at home. Very comfortable beds and enjoyed eating and relaxing outside. Would definitely return in the future!

This cabin was exactly as advertised and very remote for lots of privacy. We saw a bear and lots of deer and enjoyed several activities near Lexington, Staunton and Verona. The host was excellent and the little extras such as snacks and flowers upon arrival were thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay very much and we hope to visit again.

All anyone could ask for

My husband and I rented this beautiful serene house as a quite get away for our 53rd anniversary. It was all anyone could ask for and more. We were even surprised to find a dozen red roses and a card from the owner wishing us a happy anniversary. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding trees and wildlife. There was even a resident deer that bedded down under the front porch everyday. The kitchen was fully equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast in the breakfast nook. The master bedroom had a king sized bed that slept like a cloud. The master bath had a jacuzzi tub and a large shower that was stocked with all the amenities needed. The owner was so kind and very informative. He was very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend this home and we look forward to returning again.

As always a wonderful stay!

We've stayed here multiple times and it's always been amazing! So peaceful and private and very well cared for. Kitchen is well stocked and the fresh flowers are always a nice touch! Sheets and towels are amazing quality. This time we got to see fireflies in the trees at dusk - so magical. And a deer was napping under the deck. Great communication from the hosts, too. You can't go wrong with this cabin!

A Perfect Anniversary Getaway at The Cabin at Oak Tree FarmWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Cabin at Oak Tree Farm — it was the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm, thoughtful touches that made our stay feel extra special.The cabin itself is beautifully maintained, with upgraded amenities and everything exceptionally clean. We especially appreciated the neutral, fresh scent throughout — no overpowering fragrances, just clean comfort. The breakfast nook was cozy and charming, a great spot to start the day, while the deck with its relaxing swing offered peaceful views of the surrounding nature.Privacy was clearly a priority in the design of the property. We felt completely tucked away, yet surrounded by the beauty of wildlife — we spotted deer, coyotes, and other animals throughout our stay, which made it feel even more delightful.One of our favorite spots was the quiet sitting room just outside the primary suite — a serene place to unwind in the evening or catch up on work throughout the day.We can’t wait to come back. This cabin is a true gem, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The Cabin is located adjacent to our farm, 9 miles from the town of Lexington VA, the home of the Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University. Attractions in the local area include: The Virginia Horse Center, Hulls Drive in Movie, antique stores, wine tasting, local shops, carriage rides, canoeing and kayaking, drive thru animal park and zoo, Natural Bridge, hiking, Lime Kiln Theater and a multitude of restaurants.
