Short walk to beach

Enjoyed a short daily walk to the beach for sunrise. Home was spacious, clean and comfortable. Check in was easy.

Close walk to the beach

Very very clean and great layout for large or small groups. Nice outdoor seating! Short walk to the beach in a very cute neighborhood. Host was excellent. I would 100% recommend this place.

Great family retrest

Wow! I just cannot do it justice. It’s our second visit to Epic Retreat and it was beyond expectations! Our two grandsons 9 and 10 months had absolutely everything they needed. What an incredibly well stocked home. We LOVED it! They were so kind to work with us coming out of devastated Western North Carolina! Just a blessing!

Awesome Experience

Quality accommodations and so clean that we did not feel the need to use the Lysol we typically use upon arrival to a rental! The back deck was perfect for watching the fireworks in Morehead. Short walk to the spacious beach. Quiet neighborhood.

Fantastic Family Trip!

We stayed at the EPEC Retreat for a family wedding in Havelock and it was perfect! We had 6 adults at the property and hosted other family members that were staying elsewhere for happy hour/meals. The location and amenities were great - the house is a short walk from the beach and had everything we need to prepare meals and entertain. The communication with the host was easy and timely leading up to and during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property!

Big Rock Fishing/family vacay

The house had plenty of room for our family. The beds were very comfortable. We grilled fish one night. There were games for the kids. Swing downstairs to relax on. The neighbors were friendly. I would stay at this location again.

Lovely Home

We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and offered plenty of space for our family of 4. It is a short walk to a public beach access. The beach was not crowded, my children had plenty of room to play in the sand and water. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded promptly. We would recommend!

All that you need

The home is beautiful and the layout is perfect for a family. We had everything we needed. The property owner, Sarah was fabulous to work with. She always touched base to make sure everything was going smoothly. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this home is for a getaway!

Beautiful Property / Strong cigarette smell

The property is beautiful and newly renovated. Great location. Sadly whoever stayed previous to us smoked inside the house. The smell was so powerful that even after a 3 day stay and opening the windows it was still lingering. I hope the owners are able to fix this issue. Otherwise a great stay.

Wonderful, peaceful beach retreat!

5 min walk to a beautiful beach, spacious, well appointed, super clean, really well set up kitchen, comfortable beds! A few miles to wonderful walking/biking state park, about 10 min bike ride to the busier AB area with restaurants and such. About 15 minute drive to cute Beaufort shops. Quick, friendly communication with property manager. The neighborhood was so quiet we were able to sleep early and lie in (perfect for vacation!). The beach was easy and perfect. We were able to lock our bikes at night in the garage room, which was so convenient. ....I'd like to say something could be improved just to try balance this review, but it simply doesn't need any improvements :) Great place, great location to chill, beach,. walk and bike. 5 starts all the way.

Excellent Stay

We stayed for my daughters wedding. Everything was exactly as shown and excellent. We love the house and the location! Steps from the beach. Host was very responsive and helpful. We would love to stay again!!

* A relaxing family beach trip to remember :)

We decided to do something different this year and venture to the beach with our two young sons (2 and 6 years) on the July 4th weekend. We had such a great time! :) The property was clean and had plenty of tools for us to work with in the kitchen. I especially loved the electric griddle, which was perfect for our frequent pancake mornings. :) I also really liked the layout of the property. The front entry door opens to a great room which contains the living area, a dining table with bench (perfect for our kids), and a kitchen area with bar seating. On one side of the great room is a large bathroom with shower/tub and double sinks, a room with two twin beds, and a room with a bunk bed and changing table. We stayed on this side (which also has the washer & dryer) of the property with the kids while the grandparents stayed on the other side of the great room, which had two additional rooms, each with a queen bed and private bathroom. We loved the front and back deck areas for chatting in the evenings. We especially had a great time viewing fireworks over the marina from the back deck--the kids really loved this. :) The beach is about a 5 minute lazy walk away, which was not a problem for the grandparents or the children. :) There are also other fun activities nearby (i.e., aquarium, movies, parks, horse tours, etc.) and Fort Macon Road (right out back) has a nice sidewalk for jogging/walking in the morning too. We can't say enough good things about the property! We would be happy to stay again and would recommend the property to others. Many thanks for helping us make some great new memories with our family. :)

Seaside cottage

The place was exactly as pictured. Close to the beach, very clean, and updated interior. I was also grateful for the small amenities provided (hand soap, tissues, paper towels, etc..) which most places don’t provide. It was very helpful if you arrive late, as we did. I would highly recommend the place. It was a great get away!

Had a GREAT stay!

We have rented this house before and have always enjoyed our stay - this was no exception. House comes well stocked with lots of essentials (trash bags, household supplies, etc). That is much appreciated as it is somewhat rare. Great location with easy beach access. We had a great time on a sunny April weekend.

Thanksgiving with Family in 2021

Excellant trip second year in a row!

This was our second time staying here and our experience was once again a wonderful one. The house is beautiful and has everything we needed, even with kids! The communication with the owners is always excellent. We can't wait to come back again next year and hopefully many more after!!

Spa Baths

What a great property! The listing doesn't include pictures of the bathrooms which maybe the best part! There are two master suites with luxurious spa ensuite bathrooms on one side of the great room. The shared bath on the other side between bedrooms three and four is incredibly spacious. The hosts provide a very generous supply of towels and toiletries. A well equipped kitchen in a huge open floor-plan great room is the perfect place for extended family gathering. Everything is updated, open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a whimsical beachy style. The neighborhood is very nice and beach access is easy. The beach is wide and well tended with clean public restrooms steps away. Just a great vacation spot.
