Normally I would give this property five stars, but the management company is the reason for a lower rating. The condo was spacious,well furnished, and well equipped. It sits next to the street on the ocean side, first floor. The pool is right outside but there is little noise. The location made it very easy to get to parking, the pool, and exit to the street. Shops and restaurants are only a couple blocks away. The A/C units could not keep up with the afternoon sun from the ocean side so we had to keep the living room fairly dark. Ocean gear was appreciated although we did not use it.
The management company started off by telling us that our reservation was not valid unless papers were not immediately signed. Upon arrival we received multiple unfriendly messages not to check in early. We had a SEWER GAS smell emanating from under the sink. It forced us to have the patio doors open at all times. The management company told us that this was an "ongoing issue". On our last day they offered to send the building manager which we declined because he had told us that it was not an ongoing issue and unique to our unit. As VRBO owners ourselves, we would have had a plumber there within hours. On departure they sent a message warning of FINES if the unit were not left clean enough. They constantly tried to get us to use their app and only book through them (not VRBO). Then they urged that no reviews be posted other than on their website, and excluding anything negative. Really?
