Girls Get Away for Golf, Dinners, Exploring Door County

The property was as advertized. It is an older home in good condition. It had ammenities that we needed for a pleasant stay with one exception, the bed in one of the bedrooms was very uncomfortable. One of our group decided that the sofa in the living room was more comfortable and slep there the the three nights. Otherwise, very comfortable place.

This is our 2nd time staying at this property and no complaints at all. We love that you are in walking distance of downtown Sister Bay. We will definitely stay again.

Sister Bay House

The location, layout, and cleanliness were super. A bit stingy with toilet tissue, paper towels. When we arrived on Sunday, a neighbor informed us that on Friday a tree-trimming crew took down the internet and cable television lines to the house and we would be reconnected on Monday. My issue is that I was not notified. Had I known, would have brought a radio and a mobile hot spot as our cellular phones had poor coverage in this area. There were insufficient face clothes and hand towels upon arrival;' however, when laundering the towels we used, there was a full load of towels, face clothes, and hand towels left in the dryer. The house is in need of electrical update as many outlets were not safe to use. The overhead lighting in the upstairs' bathroom was insufficient. Neither bathroom had a working exhaust fan. I encourage the owners to install safety rails in the bathrooms as well as additional towels bars, robe hooks, etc.

Location is great but property needs updating

Musty smell from basement is overpowering upon entry. Light switches galore that don’t make sense. Bathrooms need severe grout cleaning because of hard water. My group left a night early not as comfortable as we wanted to be. Location is a couple of blocks from great shopping and restaurants but definitely needs a lot of updates and better attention to cleaning.

VERY CONVENIENT

Our overall impression was that it's a great location, central to everything! The house is old but updated, with plenty of room to spread out. IF YOU ARE STAYING HERE, MAKE SURE TO BRING (They should list this in the "amenities" section) TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWEL, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, GARBAGE BAGS, FOOD WRAPS, (you are required to wash & dry your towels and they don't provide laundry detergent nor do they tell you this PRIOR to your stay so then you have to spend time running to the grocery store to purchase these items when you could have just brought them from home!) THE UPSTAIRS SHOWER DOES NOT DRAIN VERY WELL, BUT IT DOES WORK. OVERALL - we would stay here again! The coffee pot is sketchy at best! I'd bring one! We did, it was a life saver!

Perfect location

Friends weekend was a success with the help of this great place! The location was within walking distance of Sister Bay entertainment and shopping. We would stay again!

Experience at the Abode-Sister Bay WI

Great location. Dirty gas grill. Lights in basement stayed on for the entire week. No way to turn them off. Water on basement floor. All area rugs need to be cleaned or tossed out. Called management about toilet that wouldn’t flush in upstairs bath. Their response was to send someone over with a plunger for us to deal with the issue. Hornets nest over door leading to deck. Deck furniture was very dirty. Place has potential but not very good in current state of cleanliness. Won’t be back at the Abode.

Our Unforgetable Sister Bay Vacation

I loved the location of the home. It was like you were in the woods when you were sitting outside but then town and he beach were only a few steps away. It was a nice getaway, we all enjoyed it so much. Please buy a new coffee pot. There is nothing more important when you wake up to sit outside and drink your morning coffee on your vacation. The Mr. Coffee was new but didn't work well at all. It took 45 minutes to brew a cup of coffee and also get one that stops dripping when you pull the pot out to get a cup. That will truly make a huge difference in your families stays. Thank you for a nice stay. Karen

Nice location. Overall good. Could us a couple things. Dish towels. Light switches and furnace abit different fan ran steady not sure why Heat set back to 40 degrees at night Got alittle chilly in the am Nice kitchen and floors
