The town of Blue Ridge, GA is simply lovely, with boutique shops, antique stores, great restaurants, and fun breweries! Lake Blue Ridge is enormous, with all sorts of fun water activities. There are many wonderful hiking trails and waterfalls nearby.
Springer Mountain, the southern terminus of the AT, is about 45 minutes away, as is famous Amicalola Falls, and Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia (known for stargazing as much as its mountaintop views) is about an hour away.
Our mountains and forests are gorgeous in every season, but the blooming mountain laurels in late May and the fall leaves in November are absolutely stunning. Humans may not be the only ones to enjoy losing themselves in these beautiful wooded mountains - the Expedition Bigfoot museum in nearby Cherry Log provides a different sort of entertainment, and something to discuss on your next hike!
There's so much to do and see, yet sometimes we are delighted to spend our whole visit enjoying the peace and each other by our own fire pit.
