Drena, when you stayed at Serendipity a couple weeks ago, we heard nothing but glowing comments from you about our luxury property during your stay. Not once did you mention the possibility of mice, nor have we ever received a comment along those lines at that property. We treat our luxury property monthly for rodents and pests. Furthermore, you hosted an unauthorized wedding at our property and did not receive approval to do so from our management company, which is a violation of the rental agreement. We look forward to your reply about this.

Dear Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We agree that Serendipity is a well-appointed home, and we are glad to hear it exceeded your expectations for accommodation. It’s also good to know the pool table was a welcome amenity during your stay. We were surprised to hear of your disappointment with the TV setup and the proximity to the creek. We tried to make both of these things clear on the property page on the website. The pictures and the written description describe the 4 TVs in this home and mention that the basement has a home theater with surround sound, and the website says that a hiking path leads down to a gazebo, fire pit, and seating in front of Noontootla Creek. It was never our intent to be misleading about either of these items—on the contrary, we highlighted them, as we consider both to be perks. If you would be willing to speak with us on the phone, we would truly appreciate your feedback as to which parts of the description you found confusing so we can look into clarifying the verbiage as needed. Regarding firewood, we do offer it as a service to our guests. However, given that it rained during your entire stay, it wouldn’t have been of much use since the only fireplace for this home is an outdoor fireplace. We understand and agree that ladybugs are a nuisance in the area. We are fighting them off in our own homes, as well! Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them, though it is not for lack of trying. Still, we apologize for the inconvenience. We are glad to hear you enjoyed shopping downtown despite the rain. We understand that weather can put a damper on vacations, but we’re glad to hear you made the most of it anyway. Robin, thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the spaciousness of our luxury vacation rental, Serendipity. This 5 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom property boasts gorgeous views, fantastic location, plenty of games, luxury linens, and SMART TVs through the entire home. First, regarding the shower, we are glad to hear that our team was able to remedy the situation as soon as we received your call during office hours. Second, these homes are on a weekly trash service and it is picked up regularly. We do provide three trash cans at the property in order to account for the amount of trash which can accumulate per week in a 5 bedroom home. In regards to the oven, the personnel you spoke with did not tell you to slam the oven door. We have had our appliance technician address the oven, and the hinges were not allowing it to close all the way. They are on order; however, with COVID, the delivery has been delayed. The oven is in working order regardless, and we just recommend gently pushing the door in to close it. The TVs in this home are SMART TVs, and a brand new one has been installed in the main floor living room. As such, the TV in the bedroom you referred to does not need a cable connection, nor does it need to be moved. These homes are connected to YouTube TV and do not require an outside connection. As far as kitchen utensils, the home is thoroughly inspected upon every clean, and all cookware and dishes are in order. Overall, this 5-star property is a wonderful choice for family reunions, corporate retreats, or couples getaways. We do thank you for choosing our company, and wish you the best. ~The CRG Team

We are happy to hear that you thought this 5/5 cabin is beautiful, and the bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are very spacious, perfect for large groups. We appreciate your review and take suggestions seriously in an effort to create a wonderful guest experience. Sadly, your issues are rare considering the popularity of this cabin. This cabin is perched high on a hilltop overlooking Aska Rd, which does have some mountain "traffic" - nothing like a city. Because you are in the mountains, the landscape will be undulating some, but there are long stretches of flat terrain for walking dogs. As for our company, we continually receive rave reviews regarding our service and care for our guests, making sure their vacation is everything they expected. Even though the cabin sat empty upon your arrival, inspectors were in the field checking in cabins and your cabin had not been inspected yet, thus the early check-in fee. We would have to expedite the inspector to get to this cabin earlier than expected. The heater on the porch has since been removed, since they are faulty. We provide paper products for each cabin-paper towels and toilet paper. Coffee filters are provided if previous guests have left them behind, much like spices and oils. We use 1-ply TP because these cabins are on a septic tank and need easily degradable paper in order to stay functional. The kitchenware has just been replaced with brand new cookware. We hope that you would give us another try, but if not, we wish you well.

Thank you for your review of our cabin! We work very hard to provide high quality vacation homes and memorable experiences for all of our guests. We appreciate your feedback in order to continue to improve our services and product. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed this cabin as it is one of our most popular cabins given the 5 King Suites and the Treehouse with wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, and conversational seating. We have had many guests express their supreme satisfaction with this cabin. The owners have taken great pride in continually updating their home to offer wonderful experiences for our guests. Prior to check in, we personally inspect the cabin and make sure all is in working order. We set the stage by turning on lights and music. We make sure all the pilot lights are working in the fireplaces, that all electronics are working, and everything is in working order. When these guests called on the day of check-in, Friday night, we were able to explain the hot water issue. Apparently, they were having a hard time accessing hot water in one of the showers when there was hot water throughout the house. We were able to troubleshoot the issue with him in that you have to turn the shower handle the opposite direction in order to access HOT, due to a plumber issue when the house was built. We offered to call him Saturday a.m. to make sure everything was good, but were told it was not an issue. We called Sat. at 1p to make sure all was well- the hot water was resolved the night before, but other issues bothered this guest. There is no TV in the main floor living area- due to the homeowner’s preference as it’s all about the conversation, fun, and laughter. On the terrace level, the homeowner has a large TV . The hot tub located in the Treehouse is a 6-8 person hot tub, according to the sales description when purchased. The heaters in Treehouse are in the process of being removed because they accumulate a carbon build-up and have to be serviced frequently. There is a wood-burning fireplace that heats up the space nicely. The homeowner is aware of the HVAC issue and is in the process of upgrading it. In summary, we called you Fri. upon check-in to welcome you. We were able to troubleshoot the hot water issue, which turned out to not be an issue. We were there for you all weekend, but there were no pressing emergencies, which are reserved for our on-staff maintenance crew. We do a thorough job making sure each of our cabins is in top-notch working order for our guests because we do want your business and strive hard to get and maintain that business. It is our priority that each guest has an exceptional experience when staying w/ us.

When we travel, we invariably experience some of the same inconveniences, but understand the challenges property management companies have in addressing issues with so many properties spread over the county and beyond. We were not able to respond to your call until first thing Monday morning when our maintenance tech came out at 10a and met you before you left for your outing. The hot water was taken care immediately, as a breaker had tripped probably due to a passing thunderstorm.
